Yea, your friends are taking stereotypes and apply them to you. I believe in giving everyone a chance and treating everyone as they have proper intentions. In the company I used to work my best friend was muslim...why is that weird you ask? Well, I'm jewish...so they used to call us the odd couple. Both of us practice our faith, but political or religious differences never came up and never harmed our friendship. I had to defend my good friend back on 9/11 when he was getting hell from everyone...it was the one day he was late to work and everyone was freaking out. In situations like this you know who you're real friends are. You can consider me a real friend!!

I am happy and I am carefree
And I am rejoicing because Christ forgave me,
I once was miserable and lonely and sad,
It's an understatement to say I felt bad.

I had no future, no hope and no goal,
And I feared when I died I'd lose my poor soul.
I'd heard Christ had died, I knew he was God's son,
But accept him as my Savior I never had done.

Then one day God's Spirit got through to me-
Admit you're a sinner and you can be set free.
Finally I understood, I saw the light,
I confessed my sin and I got saved that night.

I knew I was unworthy, I had nothing to give,
But Jesus had died so that I could live.
How could my Savior love this sinner so much?
He set me free with his gentle touch.

That's why I'm rejoicing and I'm happy and carefree,
Jesus, God's Son, gave Salvation to me.
I did not earn it, there was no way that I could,
And he didn't reward me because I was good.

When I saw myself, truly, as a vile, lost sinner,
Christ then could forgive me and make me a winner.
Christ came into my life and abides now with me,
It's great to live for him since he made me sin free.

If this is the right path for you, follow your heart.
This will never lead you down the wrong path.
I do hope you find true happiness as happiness is one of the ultimate goals in life. I am not a Muslim.
There is always a critic, that is their opinion and everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Hope it works out well and best of luck..

Auzubilah himina Satan Hiroshim. Bismilah Hirohman hirohim.
Asaduallah ilah ha i allah. Muhamad Rasul Satan.
I am born muslim, i convert to other religion because for my personal opinion it is very wrong to hate all other religion except muslim. It is wrong that you can kill, torture, discriminate other religion because you think they are your enemy. It is wrong if you die for protecting your religion you can get some virgin as a reward. it is wrong if you can have 4,5,6 wife by simple excuse (Saving the poor), It is wrong to thread your wife like your servant. It is wrong if most of the muslim country dont have freedom of religion because your religion hate other religion. This is all OK as per Quran and still happening worldwide. Also do you know all the non muslim country have freedom of religion, Why because other religion dont hate Islam. Other religion beleive in Peace, love, forgiveness. You better wake up and do not follow the wrong prophet that teach, all thief, killer, rapist, child molester, pervert, sex maniac can become good man or Holy man.

You will soon Allah Willing, get to a level were you find peace with Allah and feel much company. The believers of Old throughout the ages have gone through slander and ridicule. But you are embarking on a journey where you will reach new height and new meaning in life. May Allah reward you with what you need God Willing. You have gave me some clarity, when I became very religious in Islam, my friends no longer appealed to me and seemed to have lower standards for the spirituality of their lives. Islam is a very personal journey. But one suggestion, know the Quran well and read it daily so no one will be able to try to lead you astray with unauthentic hadiths.

Personally I would not get involved in any organised religion. It leaves you venerable to being manipulated ( witness the current trial at Woolwich) You will be told all sorts of things about some god but the truth that nobody knows if there is a god and if there is what sort of god it is and what that god wants no matter how much they tell you they do know. It is better to build up your own inner strength so you and stand proud and independent.

I hope your friends are 'thinking' people who will support you whatever your religious choice. Maybe you can build bridges between the different faiths by seeing what you have in common, as opposed to your differences. Good luck.

Would you consider converting to reality instead?. lots of good things happen in reality, for instance because reality has no religion within it there are no wars........... what a better path to follow.

Please follow reality.

Thanks

Stop complaining. If you were living in a Muslim country and converted to Christianity, they would not be calling you a weirdo, but rather for your death.
(Sahih Bukhari 4.260)
Narrated Ikrima:
Ali burnt some people [hypocrites] and this news reached Ibn 'Abbas, who said, "Had I been in his place I would not have burnt them, as the Prophet said, 'Don't punish (anybody) with Allah's Punishment.' No doubt, I would have killed them, for the Prophet said, 'If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.' "

Sahih Bukhari Volume 9, Book 84, Number 57:

Narrated 'Ikrima:
Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought to 'Ali and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn 'Abbas who said, "If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah's Apostle forbade it, saying, 'Do not punish anybody with Allah's punishment (fire).' I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah's Apostle, 'Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.'"
