Maybe, but I have asked him to do the that for me many times to prove he loves me.

God asked Abraham to do just that, to show he obeyed and loved and feared God more than his son... then God stopped him.
I would have to say so, because the way God is he could bring my son back to me. And my son is not mine, but God's. And God could let him if He wanted to, so He wouldn't have to use me. I thank Him that I still have my son! I have to think that Abraham may have felt the same thing. But I would be praying He would stop it all.
Later in the Bible it says that God said he wouldn't have even put it through his mind to ask someone to actually kill their child.

I understand, that you think that if He asked us to sacrifice our little ones, would we have enough trust in Him to do it? I would, but I know that He would never ask us to take a life, of that which He created...now satan on the other hand, remember how he tried to tempt job, and took his children, his money, everything he had, and God and Jesus allowed it,...as a test...does this mean that the Lord would ask you to kill your children? Of course not..but in our lives, we may be faced with the evil of this world, as a test of satan, to prove that our love is stronger, than even satan can dish out...I remember one of the people who was beheaded in Iraq by terrorists...an Oriental man, of Christian faith...who was posted all over the internet..At the funeral, his family forgave the monsters that did this to this man...a true testiment to a faith so strong that nothing could shake it...This is not to say God allowed this to happen...We do not know this, and it is not for us to know at this time, and maybe never..but, we do know one thing,..Evil did not prevail, and those people knew that they will see their loved one again.. God Bless, through Jesus..

I would remember Deanna Laney and Andrea Yeats and say NO, NO, No, NO, You are just a voice in my head GET OUT OF MY HEAD. I would then go to the hospital and commit myself so I would not be a danger to myself or others.

The danger is when people really believe the voice they hear is God and not in their head. I have known many people who do hear voices and those who are aware they are ill and tell the voices to leave and seek a doctors advise are usually able to live a normal life, but those who believe it is God are very dangerous.

remember when he asked abraham to offer his son isaac....?Gen. 22:1-14.
--- Jehovah did not ask Abraham to offer his son merely to test his faith. No, there was more to it than that. He was making a prophetic picture demonstrating, not what human parents would have to do to their children, no, but, rather, what he himself was going to do on behalf of believing mankind. It was illustrated in a way that would touch the hearts of human parents, so they would realize that it was not a small thing that God had done

never would god allow that for man to kill his son

but who did it?

it was go himself who offered his son jesus...........john 3:16

it loving on Jehovah’s part to offer his Son Jesus as a sacrifice

because billions of human creatures would continue to die unless some provision were made to deliver them from the condemnation to sin and death

In order to save them God’s righteous law required that a ransom be paid. (Deut. 19:21; Ps. 51:5; 49:6, 7) So instead of abandoning mankind, Jehovah lovingly gave his most precious possession, his only-begotten Son, to rescue them from certain death

If God were actually real and began talking to me and telling me to do terrible things I'd probably curl up in a ball, cry and try to block it out. I wouldn't want to believe that there was a God who was that cruel to ask me to kill my kids. I'd ignore him and hope that I was just losing my mind.

There is no such thing as god, so no worry about him. If god did exist and asked be to kill a child of mine, I would ask that god when did he begin to lose his damn mind and kill him.

No. What kind of question is that? Would you mind your mother killing you to show she loved God?

No, and I am sure God would not ask me to do it. He cannot trust me totally on smaller things, He would NEVER definitely ask me to kill anyone. He only asked Abraham because He knew His heart. God provided the ram for the sacrifice. The same way He does not let us to die, He sent/provided the perfect sacrifice for us so we do not have to die.

He asked Abraham to do just that and then stopped him and provided a lamb for his offering. If I meet God in a burning bush and had a relationship with God as Abraham, I would hope I would follow him as Abraham did.

Wait A Minute.

Any god who would do such a thing? For those of you Christians who have not read the bible this is exactly what god told Abraham to do to his son Isaac.

You are right to say that you wouldn't do this. You are wrong to say that the Jewish/Christian/Muslim god wouldn't ask you to do this.
