Well, Im a muslim that converted to atheism.And I have to tell my parents that sooner or later, but I don`t know how they will take it.I`m scared that they will go extrimist on me :( So how do I tell them Im converting to atheism. Don`t ask my age and don`t say "You shoulden`t convert" I already made my decission. And Im converting BECAUSE I can`t take the rules in islam. THEIR ARE TOOOOOO MANY THAT I JUST CAN`T FOLLOW!! And Im the "I have no religion atheist" now, not the "I don`t belive in god" atheist. So post please.

I am mostly black, and my almost boyfriend is white, this is not the problem though.

Well you see I am a Christian and my almost boyrfriend doesn't believe in God. God is a major influence in my life and right now I was hoping that we could work with this but lately I am just feeling too guilty about it.

What should I do? He is really sweet and has the most embracing smile!!!

Death for apostasy:
Sura 4:89 They long that ye should disbelieve even as they disbelieve, that ye may be upon a level (with them). So choose not friends from them till they forsake their homes in the way of Allah; if they turn back (to enmity) then take them and kill them wherever ye find them, and choose no friend nor helper from among them,”

Kill Disbelievers in a cruel fashion:
Sura 5:33: "Those who make war with Allah and his messenger will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land. That is how they will be treated in this world, and in the next they will have an awful doom."

Slit throats of unbelievers:
Quran Sura 47:4: Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah's Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost.

Amputation for petty theft:
Quran Sura 5:38: Cut off the hands of thieves, whether they are male or female, as punishment for what they have done—a deterrent from God: God is almighty and wise.

Killing unbelievers:
9:123. O ye who believe! fight the unbelievers who gird you about, and let them find firmness in you: and know that Allah is with those who fear Him.

Dont be friends with Jews or Christians:
Sura 5:51: O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your allies and protectors: They are but allies and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.

Kill disbelievers:
2:191. And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith.

Permission for a muslim man to beat his wife if she doesnt obey him:
Sura 4:34: “Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in their sleeping places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.”

Found them before and I am shocked. I am not a JW but surely this is nonsense without trying to be rude!

1. Jehovah God is not a Trinity
2. The doctrine of the Trinity is inspired by Satan
3. Jesus Christ is a created being, who at one time did not exist (a.k.a.Michael the archangel)
4. The Holy Spirit is not a person but is "God's active force" i.e. gravity, electricity etc.
5. Heaven is only for select Jehovah's Witnesses

If we Christians write something people don't like we get bashed for it and if an atheist writes something people don't like we still get bashed for it. I can tell she really is an atheist because this is a standard thing thing they say, not that one person speaks for all but that Christians are low intellect, blah, blah, blah. What are people's thoughts on this?

Why do some priests use the holy cloth when holding the sacred Monstrance and others do not? Isn't this disrespectful if they do not us the cloth.
Also, it says do not touch the Monstrance when in Adoration.

I am 57 and rarely go to church,but i have always belived in god.I belive alot of things that i have read in the bible but not all.I have thought of enroling on the alpha course but i am worried that i may no fit in,I am just an ordinary working class bloke and wonder if i could learn or benifit from it .

I have proof!

1 God created the universe and time. Creating is only meaningful in TIME but it doesn't exist yet. If time already exists and he exists in time then he is no longer allpowerful because he is bound by the rules of time. If he exist outside of time then he would be allpowerful, yet unable to help us. If he can transcend time then he would know the future and why bother becoming involved in the struggel of humankind against evil?

2 God is either unchangable, and unable to create, or else inside time and not unchangable. If he is the prime cause then he would have to be uncahngable. Why? Because he has no reason to change himself. Change would imply the intervention of another cause that wasn't the prime cause.

3 Howould an unchangable entity create something? If there is an act of creation then is the creator involved or not? If he is involved then ,since creation inevitably ocures in stages, he is changeable. Creation is incompatable with uncahangeability.

So if there if 'stealing a penny' and being a multiple child rapist/torturer/murderer is about the same according to God--and your twisted beliefs.....
and there is only punishment for nonbelievers, and only reward for believers,
why would sinning or not sinning matter to either party?
Why do morals matter to you at all when you seem to state very clearly that they don't matter to God?
