This just poped into my head a second ago? Heaven is a kind of haven. Is there any linquistic connection?

ETYMOLOGY:Middle English heven, from Old English heofon. heaven, from Germanic *hibin-, “the stony vault of heaven,” dissimilated form of *himin-.
From the rest of the reading I gathered the impression that its origin is more in the idea of that being the place of light than the place of refuge.

Could be just a coincedence, seeing as how the etymologies are different.

It's a pretty nifty one, though!

That's actually pretty good. I don't know, but I'll think about it and get back to you.
