i'm so surprised at some of these ridiculous answers, wow, what would the world be like if religion was not exposed to them at so early of an age when you couldn't even tell the difference between right and wrong, people really do believe that 'god' plopped adam and eve onto earth?

Some children are born with actual tails and they are surgically removed at birth. Webed fingers and toes too.
Most Christian leaders around the world don´t argue against evolution...even the Pope. They say it´s just a tool God used.
This evolution vs creation argument is an American political wedge issue designed by Conservative Republicans.

I think the appendix has a small role in the immune system. However, vestigial organs could easily be from the Fall, as the Curse has caused creation to deteriorate.

If you have ever had a broken tailbone, you would know how hard it is to sit without one. The tail bone is for posture and ballance when sitting. The apendix helps produce antibodies which helps the immune system, and our immune system is pretty important. Yes, you can live without your apendix as well as other organs and glands that support the immune system, good thing God gave us back ups incase one stops working huh?

According to creationists, God just hasn't found a purpose for it ...YET....so does that mean we evolve to use them in the future?
nope, an appendix was most likely used for when we were cave men and ate raw meat--it helped in the digestive process,
but over tens of thousands of years, we are still born with it,
no doubt, in the future, if man lives long enough,
we will be seeing more and more babies born without one at all.
Proof of evolution....though I doubt we will live on this earth tens of thousands of years more for us to see this happen...

If evilution is as true, provable and infallible as you and so many blinded disciples of secular-humanism purport - why is it still a theory.
At last glance in the dictionary a theory is "An assumption based on limited information or knowledge; a conjecture."
Check it out.
And yes - it should be spelled evilution.

We use to be herbivours before the flood so then the appendix was useful. We have a tail bone but not a tail...... hmm don't know why we have that but .... that doesn't prove anything..
Does'nt the evolution theory say that if we do not need something, then it is lost in evolution?...... eg **** erectus was stronger than humans...... according to the theory, that was because we don't need that amount of strength. So why do we still have an appendix if we don't need it? It should have been lost in evolution....

They no doubt had purpose at one point, but once sin entered in,there function was stopped. And there left there as proof and rememberance that they were once part in helping run the functions of the body.

LOL!
Good one.
If there is an "intelligent designer" they why did he give humans vestigial organs like the appendix or the gall bladder.
And why are more people today wearing glasses than not?
Because we are no longer hunter-gatherers. We don't rely on our eyes as much as we used to. So, we rely on corrective lenses.
Funny how reality dispels creationist mythology so easily huh?
