The truth sets us free, but we have to be open to the truth before it can set us free. That's why the Bible has a good effect on those who love truth and righteousness.

Look at this question:

"Did you know that the Bible has a good effect on those who love truth and righteousness?"

Do you even notice what you are implying? You all but flat-out say that anyone who isn't deeply affected by the Bible is a hater of truth and righteousness!

Do you really, honestly believe that there isn't ONE person out there who honestly loves truth and righteousness, but just happens not to believe the Bible? Have you even tried looking for such a person?

I'm just pointing this out, because there are many, many people I know who fall into this category. They KNOW that they love truth, but they also know that the Bible doesn't affect them. These people aren't going to suddenly start thinking that all of their experience with themselves is wrong and that you (who have never met them) are right. Instead, they're going to believe that you are a self-righteous bigot.

I happen to think that you're NOT a self-righteous bigot. That's why I'm warning you to just be a little more careful about what you say, okay? Then we can all be friends, and everyone wins.

The Bible seems to have had a negative effect on millions of indigenous peoples of the world, who were killed in the name of God.

So as a Native American, I´d have to say, no.

Did you know that in the bible they stoned a guy for gathering food on the sabbath?
Is God saying I should kill people for gathering food for the families on the wrong day of the week?

The bible was invented by the Catholic Church in 314 AD. There is no evidence that one word was inspired by God.

The bible has made me hate Judeo-Christian beliefs more. I was raised Jewish, and had not minded Christianity until I read the Bible. Too much rape, incest, murder, homophobia, genocide for my liking.
