I have been intrigued by this as well. God does have a plan and purpose for all. I only hope that some of those folks can come to know the saving grace of Christ. Until then, we will keep on having these debates . The problem is we as believers need to be walking our walk instead of talking the talk. Actions deliver!!!

There are many athiests who take His name in vain all the time. Christians...the ones who live according to Christ's teachings are supposed to tell everyone about it. They are not trying to force it down an athiests throat...they are trying to share a peaceful soul-lution to their sad and meaningless lives. Some Christians refuse to take 'NO!' for an answer. However, Jesus would want us to walk away...if we do our part and are rejected, then it is on the athiest...we know it is God they are rejecting, and we should not be taking it personally.

Yes it is your imagination, in fact the only time God comes up is when someone tries to shove their beliefs down our throats. I don't go door to door leaving flyer's and preaching to people when they answer their door why they should believe as I do. I get this from Jehovah's Witnesses, Baptists, Methodists, and many others.
If you are truly secure in your beliefs you would not force them on others, you would allow them to come around to your way of thinking on their own.

Some of the younger and less mature ones still think atheism is something shocking or impressive to people and try to harass others about it. I apologize on their behalf, even if we aren't exactly a unified group or anything.

They certainly seem to spend a lot of time trying to refute the existence of the God that they claim not to believe in.
Makes me wonder why they bother, if they're so totally convinced that they're right.

Could be. That's their business. From observation, I'd say not.
I spend my time countering nonsense about evolution and atheists. If theists would lay off those subjects, I reckon I'd find something else to do.

interesting, is it not? They say they don't believe in God, but they're so frenzied in denying Him & trying to convince everyone of their non-belief. They have a lot in common with Christians in that respect. Methinks they do protest too much, to paraprase Mr. Shakespeare.

Its your imagination. Why does it even matter who does or who doesn't believe in God? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

It takes alot of talking for Atheists and us, of other religions, to get thru to Christians that there are viewpoints besides theirs, and they should stop their constant preaching.
