I am totally for gay marriage. But in my old church the priest was very homophobic and always put down gays. It left me with a very negative impression towards christians. So I was wondering, for those christians out there who don't have a problem with gays, first of all, thank you for being so tolerant. But what do you think when you read the bible and it has all those quotes saying gays shouldn't have sex, that two males or females being together is an abomination. Do you just ignore them? Figure they where mistranslated? Or decide it's none of your buisness? Seriously It's got me all curious as to why some of you can be so tolerant and some can't.

What defined night and day if there was no night and day with no sun?

What was the Earth revolving around if there was no sun?

Do these verses make you want to get up in the morning?

Everything is emptiness. 3 What do people gain from all the work they do under the sun? 4 A generation goes and a generation comes, yet the earth remains forever. 5 The sun rises and the sun sets, and rushes back again to the place from which it rises. 6 The wind blows south, then returns to the north, round and round goes the wind, on its rounds it circulates. 7 All streams flow to the sea, yet the sea does not fill up. 8 All matters are tiring, more than anyone can express. The eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing. 9 What is is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done. There is nothing new under the sun. 10 Is there anything of which it can be said, "See this is new!"--It has already been, in eras before us. 11 The people of ages past are no longer remembered, nor will there be any remembrance of people yet to come by those who come after them.

Did everyone prior to Jesus end up in Hell or did God give them a reprieve? Frankly, it's impossible to accept Christ as your personal savior if he hadn't existed yet?

A group of Islamic clergy in Saudi Arabia has condemned the letter "X” because of its similarity to a hated banned symbol – the cross.

The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, which has the ultimate say in all legal, civil and governance matters in the kingdom, issued a fatwa, or religious edict, against the "X.” .....
..."Experts who examined the English word ‘explorer’ were struck by how suspicious that ‘X’ appeared,” Youssef Ibrahim writes in the New York Sun.

"In a kingdom where Friday preachers routinely refer to Christians as pigs and infidel crusaders, even a twisted cross ranks as an abomination.”

I'm thinking about going into isolation for a certain period of time. People are really wearing on me, right now. I'm tired and frustrated. I think some time away from everyone would help me. I'm thinking about staying indoors for a week or so to "recharge". Think this would be beneficial?

The top three largest examples are thought to be the Crusades of the Middle Ages, the Spanish Inquisition, and the burning of witches. These three events, totaling over 264,000 killed, are thought to be the largest atrocities perpetrated by one or another form of Christendom.

According to University of Hawaii
political scientist Rudolph J. Rummel,1 the total number killed in all of human history is
estimated to be about 284,638,000. Of that number, 151,491,000 were killed during the
past 100 years. The single largest killer in all of human history is, by far, atheistic
Communism with a total of 110,000,000 … over 1/3 of all people ever killed! If we add
to that number just two other regimes where religion of any sort was strongly
discouraged, Nazi Germany and Nationalist China, the number rises to 141,160,000.
Almost 50% of all the killings in human history were committed in the past 100 years by
regimes that either actively promoted atheism or strongly discouraged religion. We have
not considered the over one billion abortions, where Christianity seems to be particularly
unwelcome. When the murders of history are tallied up, it is very clear that atheism is the
most dangerous philosophy ever embraced by humanity. The most effective restraint on
mankind's inherently evil tendencies is faith in God through Jesus Christ, a faith that
actually follows the teachings and commands of Jesus Christ as a daily way of life.

Don't give me the "he can choose not to be able to sin" crap. It is illogical to "choose not to be able to do something".

If jealousy is a sin, then God would have been the first sinner, as he states in the commandments......"I God am a jealous God"...

So why ,do we as humans, have to pay for the sins of Adam and Eve, when clearly God was the first sinner, and knowing that God knows everything, he would have known that they would have sinned?
