A group of Islamic clergy in Saudi Arabia has condemned the letter "X” because of its similarity to a hated banned symbol – the cross.
The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, which has the ultimate say in all legal, civil and governance matters in the kingdom, issued a fatwa, or religious edict, against the "X.” .....

I'm a muslim woman, and these guys are IDIOTS. Nowhere in the Quran or hadith is ANYTHING like this mentioned. If it isn't forbidden, then it's lawful. Who are they to invent something and force it on the rest of us? They tried to invent that whole "women may not drive" thing as well, and that didn't take off either. Just becuase somebody claims to be a scholar, that doesn't mean that they are. Christians are seen as friends to Muslims, yet here they are stirring up even more hatred. If these idiots followed the Quran, they wouldn't be doing half of the idiotic stuff they are doing. They need to concentrate on the bigger things, not some letter. They need to figure out how to get the ISLAMIC message across, not ban this and ban that little small thing because THEY are offended by it. Oh, Allah, this just takes the cake. They are making all of us look stupid when they take unlawful actions such as these. May Allah help them stop the hypocrisy.

The smallest thing to pick at, as they can't find much of anything else. I say HOGWASH! I am a Christian, but I am no pig! Seems to me, they resemble the snake that is cursed for it is evil.

I'm not too familiar with the Arabic language, so I'm just wondering if the letter X shows up much, or at all, in that language.
