and that Faith is based on the Bible, once you believe the Bible, does it not then become proof? You, therefore, no longer have Faith in God but you have proof of God, which defeats the whole point of Faith!

In other words, if you have Faith in God you must, by necessity, admit it is possible God doesn't exist at all and you are wasting your life because if you deny that possibility, you no longer have Faith but proof (at least enough for you to be 100% convinced, either way it's no longer Faith at that point). Therefore you would have to keep an open mind to other possibilities and perpetually return to the Bible, would you not?

This verse is found in Luke 18:7. My question is: who are these "elect" that Christ speaks of?

The moon god that muhamed copied allowed sex with children. muhamed then included it in his own religious cult. Here is a direct quote:
V5,B58,N235 from Aisha
The Prophet engaged me when I was a girl of six (years). We went to Medina and stayed at the home of Bani-al-Harith bin Khazraj. Then I got ill and my hair fell down. Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, Um Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. was breathless then, and when my breathing became Allright, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, "Best wishes and Allah's Blessing and a good luck." Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah's Apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, at that time I was 9 years old.
Now call it a lie

I hate mine but I love the people in it. I just hate my motral life. It says in the bible in book Mark chapter 8 verse 35 If you try to keep your life for yourself you will lose but If you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the good news you will find true life. That's the book verison but the King James verison is, For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosovever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's the same shall save it. Look it up if you want to see it for yourself.

Pagans have worshiped their own messiahs for tens of thousands of years before jesus was born. seeing the following info to 3 pagan gods Horus, Saturn, and Mithra, it clearly shows That Jesus could have been a real guy, but all the acts he supposedly did, were dont long ago, by pagan gods, he was used to create a new pagan type fable (only as a teaching tool) only monotheisticly, of course.

1) All 3 Were all virgin born of a god and a mortal woman (isis was a mortal until osiris came in early traditions)
2) All 3 Had 12 messiahs
3) All 3 Died to redeem manking and were said to come again when man needed them
4)All 3 had last suppers with their 12 deciples before they died of bread and wine.
5) Horus walked on water to a group of wishermen to prove what faith in the "gods" can do
6) Horus healed the sick, blind, and even raised a dead man named...lazarus (coincidence? i think not)
7) Jesus was wanted dead at birth by Herod, Horus was by Herot, and Saturn and Mithra were by Hera

Better to RECITE the Quran is a language you dont understand, than read what it actually says, which is of course, what most Muslims do.

I mean, for example, would you think this is from God if you read it and understood it ---

Quran 8:12 “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them. http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/008.q...

OFCOURSE NOT. Now, if you recited this verse in a language you didnt understand, thats different...you can "feel" holy and "righteous".

Why do you think Muslims make such a big issue about translation? As absurd as the claim that "arabic cant be translated is", its better to try and make this claim then let people read the shear horror of the Quran.

David T indicated that tithing made a difference in his financial life (see link). I've tithed, and I've not tithed, and I've never noticed any difference in how I do financially (other than having more money for myself by not tithing). Does tithing or not seem to make a financial difference in your life?

Follow me here....

Since the things people have faith in (like gods) can never be tested, or proven real, there is never any true way to know if results people ascribe to "faith" are genuinely a consequence of that faith, or just coincidence, or a persons own will, or some other force at work behind the scenes.

Furthermore, since we can never know for certain if devoutness actually makes a difference, there is no more risk in simply believing one ones self, over something external. When you get right down to it, the measure of a persons faith in times of difficulty is purely a consequence of their willpower. A person either loses faith, or maintains faith, so what is the difference between believing strongly in yourself so as to maintain steadfast faith, or simply believing in yourself above everything else?

The result will be the same, and you can never prove "something" intervened on your behalf anyway.
