Isnt this book simply the opinion of one man? His personal experiences? Why is it even in the bible?

really since we believe that god is the creator of ALL and the greatest supreme being, isnt it kinda peagan to undermine him by making him man like and need a son or marry for that matter?

Which one to three world ills have you constantly been praying to God to get rid of or help human race out of? The question is not about praying for yourself but for human race as a collective!

Many out there live their lives with the goal of being decent, nice and asking forgiveness for their sins . . . thus they are accepted into heaven.

Others feel that the purpose of life is to re-awaken their soul and heart to purely see the One (God) . . .become enlightened to have knowingness of authentic goodness, Love, awareness of being one with all (even while still beautifully living as human on earth).

Difference of the two . . . (in my opinion) is that of the two noted above that one is working from a place of guilt and striveing to get the 'big reward' of being accepted in heaven.

The other. . .person comes into the awareness (enlightenment) that they are of value and love and have the heart desire to be aware, learn, pay attention of how to open their soul and heart to truely 'see' the One (God) and thus during the process of enlightment are not living a 'sinful' (as others phrase it) life and through enlightment do live a decent and heart valuing life.

Am alarmed that in a multifaith society christians are struggling to display their faith ie, schoolgirl excluded for displaying crucifix on chain, B.A worker suspended for wearing crucifix...Should we behaving like this or is a total ban on religious icons necessary ? I hope not !

I know very little about the religions of pre-Christian Northern Europe. I would like to know if any one can help me understand them a little better. Is there any relation between Wicca and Odinism? Is Wicca a form of Odinism? Is Odinism a Wiccan religion? Or are they just completely unrelated?

The way I see it, we're all atheists. Probably no one on this forum believes in, say, the Greek god Zeus or the Egyptian god Horus. It's just that those labelled "atheists" here happen to believe in one less god than those who don't consider themselves atheists, right? I'm just looking for clarification about labels.

Hi there,
Why does Lent period consisted of 40 days. Why not other numbers such as 80 days, 75 days, ect.... Is it because Jesus spent all the 40 days in the desert preaching before he was crusified? That is why Lent period is consisted of 40 days not including Sundays?

Note to Christians: This is no bashing. A genuine question and I am sorry if you will feel offended by it.


QUESTION: Despite the bible saying we are made in the image of God, after which he breathed his breath into us and we became "living souls". Despite the same bible saying that God sent his only son (in flesh) to the world (as he is the father, the son must be like him - you cannot have a lamb to a cow). You still say that God is not physical. Now, how spirit is he, given that according to the Bible there is the Holy Spirit, which is one of the Trinity? How does the two spirits (the father and holy spirit) relate to the physical son (Jesus). You should remember that the bible says Jesus (not his spirit) ascended to heaven. Why didn't the body perish in the grave and the spirit ascend to the father?

I'm agnostic. It seems as if every other time I post a question regarding religion or the relevancy of religion, my question is removed.
Are Yahoo! Answers Techs discriminating against non-Christians or is this just a result of over zealous users abusing the report button?

I am Muslim..When I was a child I prayed to God known to us by Almighty Allah, so one of my prayers were answered like after 1 or 2 minutes..I used to have like sleep paralye, where u cannot move your muscles nor can speak with your mouth, so I said an ISlamic prayer at that time, and they went away...and there were other mircales of my life...so if u think Islam is not true why did those happened...?..Tell me if u got such kind of miracles in your life by following other than ISlamic religion?
