I know very little about the religions of pre-Christian Northern Europe. I would like to know if any one can help me understand them a little better. Is there any relation between Wicca and Odinism? Is Wicca a form of Odinism? Is Odinism a Wiccan religion? Or are they just completely unrelated?

Both religions are neo-pagan religions and worship more than one deity. Other than that, they are quite different. Odinism is akin to Asatru. Asatru is a Germanic reconstructionist religion. To learn about pagan reconstructionist religions:

I am sure there are more than a few Wiccans that follow the Norse pantheon. A pagan friend of mine works exclusively with the Norse deities.

Wicca is a "rebirth" of the old nature based religion systems primarily of Western Europe. There are many different paths under the umbrella of Wicca, and I'm sure that Odinism could easily fall under the umbrella. Check out religioustolerance.org or wikipedia for a more thorough definition of Wicca.

1 in 365 people are born on Oct 31. It doesn't make you special. Look hard enough, and you'll find a group that holds any particular day important. You've just cherry picked the one you were born on. Halloween is not a Wiccan holiday anyway. the Wiccan holiday is Samhain, although it is generally celebrated on the same day. But that is a DECISION. It wasn't magically ordained. Some people say the veil between worlds is thinnest that day, but the usual explanation for that is "well, that's when the Celts celebrated it and they know their stuff." Well, the Celts didn't specifically celebrate Samhain on Oct 31, and it was a harvest festival. Wicca has nothing to do with not being human. Now you're just looking for an excuse to be special. You're human. You were born the same as the rest of us. If you want to be special, you need to do something special. You're not born that way.

Completely unrelated.

While Wicca claims to be derived from ancient pagan beliefs and practices, it is in fact quite modern, and more influenced by the theories of Margaret Murray about the witch religion, or the "great goddess cult" hypothezised by Marija Gimbutas about the pre Indo European dwellers of Eurasia than by any authentic traditions. Also, John Gardner was British, and his inspiration, if coming at all from a pre christian civilisation, was more Pseudo Celtic than Norse or Germanic.

o boot, Authentic Odinic tradition was probably completely lost between the 1200s and 1500s, and modern Asatru is more like historical reconstructionism than a true perpetuation. It also tends to attract white supremacist and neo nazi types, not at all the audience for Wicca.

I don't think so. I knew an Odinist (whatever) and his beliefs were different from the wiccans I knew. Odinism is a form of pagan religion, and wicca is it's own branch. The only thing that relates them is that they are both concidered pagan, but that's the end of the simularities end

I think you're referring to Asatru, which means "loyal to the Aesir gods" or gods of the Norse pantheon. Wiccans may choose to work with Norse deities, but only members of the branch aforementioned work exclusively with them.

They are unrelated. Odinism is the worship of viking idols like Thor, Odin, Freya, etc. Odinism is a reconstruction of the ancient Norse religions. It's probably the most dangerous branch of the Neopagan movement since it is comprised almost entirely of White Supremacists, Neonazis, and KKK types. I've only had contact with on Odinist who claimed he wasn't a Neonazi, and even he admitted most Odinists were and that he was the exception rather than the rule.

Wicca was created by Gerald Gardner circa 1950. You can read more about it here:
