How do you know your faith (or absence thereof) is the truth? Please, I dont want preaching, I am happy with my own beliefs. I am just curious how everyones faith came about.
I know pretty much every religious scripture says it is true, but how do you KNOW it? I could write a text and say it is the true word of God, but it wouldnt be worth the paper its written on until someone believes it. Can you help?

Yes, this is relevant to the 'religious section'. I'll explain.

Did any of you bad boys have a friendship with a good, Christian girl?

And how would you know if your family tried to break you up? What are the telltale signs?

As for me, I don't have hard evidence. But by the way things turned out, and by my gut feeling, I sense somebody pulled some strings, very subtly. Anyway, I'd like your personal anecdotes. Thanks.

(P.s. I'm not a bona fide bad boy; it's just that, in a pious family, I'd probably qualify for 'bad'. No offence meant to anybody. Peace.)

Being a Christian means we are supposed to follow certain basic tenents. But you ask a question about the Bible on here, and you get five different versions of what Jesus supposedly meant.
I see bad advice, bad attitudes, and off-kilter doctrinal teaching. It's scary.
I think the modern church is more about keeping people happy and less about compelling them to study. Am I right, or is it just me?

Why do religions claim to be the teachers of good morals when their track records are so appalling, at least the wicked trio of Christian/Jewish/Muslim. Without exposure to the religions, do people grow with good morals?

Or is it "Why"?
How about "when"?
Then there is "where"
What about "How"?
You have all forgotten!
"Who" too!
Your mind may die
If you forget to question it!

I love praiseing the LORD GOD allmighty I need to be sure about what my church should do when some members are rude Christians, they make it hard some of them for me to come. What my pastor has as leaders, for the last 5 years the church members are leaving, some of the so called leaders I don't want to follow where will we go with an attude, not a smile. I have had some bumps in the road they helped me, turly GOD has blessed everybody that has helped me. I am thankful I owe GOD not the people. They make me feel not wanted at times same old sad song. It just doesn't feel so good going to fellow ship perhaps where I have upset some church folk.

A good friend of mine who is Wiccan gave me a gift of a leather bracelet, and right before he put it on my arm he kissed it... I asked him what it was for, and he stated "You'll know what it's for when the time comes." He has since moved away, and I have not ever been able to ask him what the meaning of the braclet is, or why he kissed it before

The only thing we would believe in would be a God. Whether or not God is the source behind the Big Bang, or the creator of everything, or if He is simply the unknown particle or force science is yet to discover. There would be no bounds to what God is. God would just be whatever we're searching for. There would be no laws, commandments, churches, books, teachings. Absolutely no one would be converted. It would simply be a religion where we can all contribute in our own way. Please don't bash this question, as it is more a thought to ponder. I mean, does God have to be defined considering that if he is almighty and all powerful, he is not bound by our imaginations and mental constructs of who and why He is. He simply is.
