No. People are still being judged by the color of their skin or their background. I hate to say it but affirmative action hinders, not helps, the goal of unity. When people are looked at for their knowledge, experience and skills, not their ethnicity and quotas that need to be filled the world will be a better place. MLK had a great dream, maybe one day it will come true. That day is not today.

We'll seeing as here in NY a 13 yr. old african american male was just severely beaten by 3 white students, while at the same time saying to him blacks dont belong in our school..... i would say no !!!! this is just one clear example, that the poisonous views of the past generation has been passed down to the next....a vicious cycle of hate and bigotry.... and not only against african americans, but hispanics and asians and arabs too... its so bad that we are willing to spend billions of dollars to send troops overseas to iraq under the "guise" of protecting freedom... Only to find our troops grossly degrading the people of iraq.... i dont know about you, but i didnt forget how our troops stripped those iraqi's naked and forced them to dress in womens clothing...and spanked them..all while taking pictures of it for fun.... Then we wonder what so many countries have against us???? Simple..... if we dont change our ways.....we will reap what we sow !!!!!!

Um...no.
Because even still, no one is equal. We all pretend that there is equality, but whether dealing with sex/sexuality, race, religion...
hell, even if someone is mentally handicapped are not, none of us are equal in the way he dreamed we should be.
Granted, we've come a long way, but we're not there yet. We will though... one day.

Sad to say - NO, not even close.
Too many issues to present as evidence.
There are a few spots of hope , but sorry, we , as one humanity, have a long way to go.

Stone Mountain Georgia, which is mentioned in the speech currently has a memorial to Confederate troops funded by the KKK, so I'd say no.

Do you live under a rock?
Racism is not a thing of the past!
Perhaps you should turn off your computer and look out into the real world for a change!
Cyberspace is NOT reality!!!!
