Isaiah in prediction said the Messiah would be despised and rejected. If my Jewish people despised and rejected our Messiah then we abandoned our religion, and those that accept Messiah Jesus for themselves now follow the Jewish Messiah.

truth being told in this question-My Jewish people for the most part have rejected the Judaism of the Jewish scriptures and made a new religion-as a 'Jew' today you are permitted to be an athiest or anything else -except if you believe Jesus is the Messiah then they say you are not a Jew.

Isaiah said 700bce when the Messiah comes
He will be born a miracle and be God with us (emanuel)Isaiah 7:14

He will be the child born & the son given, almighty God, & the prince of peace." Isaiah 9:6(is peace-within and one day over the whole world in his return as promised =

Isaiah 52:13-53:12 to be exalted. first to be despised. to die to make atonement for our sins.

Messiah Jesus is my best Friend!

Did believers in Messiah steal their belief?

I happen to follow the Buddhist teaching and I feel that Jesus was a being of compassion. Many Buddhist, including me, feel that Jesus was another Buddha or Bodhisattva. The misconception among many Christians is that those that are not Christian hate Christ. I don't hate Christ. His messege was very similar to Buddha's messege. Can everyone in the world forget about religion and start focusing on loving one another?

Paul writes to the churches, "But when God who set me apart from birth and called me by his grace was pleased to reveal his Son in me ... I did not consult any man nor did I go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles..." Galatians 1 15:17

In Luke, Jesus says,"But seek his kingdon, and these things will be given to you as well" Luke 12 31

To Muslims.

Why big aggressive protests against the Danish cartoons turning violent for which people were killed, or storming the offices in indonesia of an indonesian version of 'Playboy'

Or say in Nigeria 200 people were killed over a quite frankly boring miss world cometition and a joke that Mohummed would have dated a miss world contestant.

But no massive protests, burning and attacking embassies, storming jails, calling for mullahs to be killed over things like

Teenagers executed or on death row for making love, where they will be killed by the most brutal, slow & painful ways.

Wheres the outcry over gays being executed and flogged?
Those killed over the miss world competition. Honour killings, FGM, forced arrange marriage, child marriage etc

"Reason is the greatest enemy that faith has"

Surely this is reason not to trust faith in the first place.

how could God make man out of dust?
It is the argument you use against abiogenesis
Millers theory( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miller-Urey_experiment ) is much more sensible than man coming from dust

From a Buddhist perspective, truth about life is all around us and only a good heart and a trained mind can see it. Buddhism is one of the only religions that I have seen that doesn't have a central holy book. The closest thing is the Tripitaka. But even that is seen as not being central. Buddhist feel that there is no need to have truth written down on paper. Its so real that writting it down is a reflection of "truth" and not actually "truth?" Why do other religions feel the need to have a central holy book. Are thier minds so unenlightened that they cannot see the universal truth with their own minds and hearts?

Proverbs 13:13 (N.I.V.)
He who scorns instruction will pay for it,
but he who respects a command is rewarded.
++++++++++++++++++++

We are no longer alone and we no longer have to be afraid but most important is that we no longer have to pretend. The real self is the person that God loves!
Safety lies in obedience to proper instruction and commands (a command is more forceful than an instruction).
The vivid point taken in, ‘will pay,’ is that whoever despises the teaching will be treated as a debtor. ‘He will pay for it,’ means that the debtor will pay for his debt with the consequence of that debt (sin). The sin of course is that he has offended against God’s law of obedience to God!
In our fourth step inventory we can be very certain that honesty is far better than pretension even if it turns out that we are not quite who we thought we were. Some who are poor (spiritually) pretend to be rich

Don't you believe Isaiah when he said that the man who is ugly, who's appearance is so marred and who was rejected by men because of his looks is the man who will carry our trangressions? And he will be called the greatest and those who reject him will be called the least.

Do you hate me cause I'm ugly?

Okay, I first saw someone answer on here with something along the lines of "Global Warming is basically an Atheist myth." I assumed this person was making it up until I saw a section of Jesus Camp that shows a mother home schooling (or rather indoctrinating) her two sons, telling them that since the average US summer temperature has only gone up a few degrees, Global Warming simply isn't happening.

Seriously, the creation vs evolution thing is overlookable compared to this. Are there really many people out there that can just overlook the fact that the ice in Northern waters is receeding? And they base this purely on the idea that the temperature in the US hasn't gone up much?

Please tell me this is an idea shared by only a few people.

The closest thing it says was that we were created for God's pleasure. However that answer is not good enought. The only religion I have found so far that addresses this concern is Buddhism. I can't get that out of my mind why we are forced into existance and then be made to be held accountable. Its like God forced us to sign a contract. What if I said before my existance, "I don't want existance?" I feel that life is forced upon us. Please only give intelligent answers and don't just say, "pray" or "read the bible." I want to know what "you" think, not what the bible thinks.

Unfortunately, the extremists are the ones setting Muslims up. The moderates pray all day and only worship God. Allah is God. Allah means God. Allah was stated not only in the Quran, but in the original Arabic/Aramaic Bible.

Please rate both verses and post which one is the better one. The basis for your decision would be most helpful.

A. BEHOLD, We have bestowed upon thee good in abundance:
hence, pray unto thy Sustainer [alone], and sacrifice [unto Him alone].
Verily, he that hates thee has indeed been cut off [from all that is good]!

B. Behold, God has granted you many things:
From now on, you should only pray and sacrifice to God alone.
God hates those who have willfully denied God.

Thank you in advance for your honest opinions.
