I shouldn't generalize, but most Muslims, including the ones we have here, are rather primitive. Simple-minded. Faith based, not logic based. I doubt you will get a good answer from a Muslim because that would have to mean admitting that there's something wrong with Islam, which I have never seen one Muslim do so far. If you want to know what I mean, you can check my profile and see Muslim reactions to my answers and questions. However, as an ex-Muslim, I will try to answer your questions.
(1) Muslims won't protest stoning to death because it's an accepted part of the Shariah. Watch a Muslim prove this. http://www.jamiat.org.za/aj/local/stoning.html
(2) Likewise, insulting Muhammad (through the cartoons or the joke that he would have dated a beauty queen) is considered blasphemy and is also punishable by death.
http://www.islam-qa.com/index.php?ref=22809&ln=eng&txt=apostate
(3) Homosexuals are killed too.
http://www.islam-qa.com/index.php?ref=38622&ln=eng&txt=homosexuality
(4) As for honor killings, they are the only thing so far that does not have a foundation in Islamic law. It's forbidden for Muslims to kill adulteresses when they are not in the legal position to do so - That is, when they're not judges. However, a woman who cheats on her husband could be found guilty in court and stoned to death, and people who have sex before marriage would be sentenced to 100 stripes. http://www.islam-qa.com/index.php?ref=8980&ln=eng&txt=stoning%20to%20death
(5) Child marriage - The general opinion is that a girl becomes a woman when she has her first menstruation. That places the legal age at about 9. This is the excuse Muslims often use to justify Muhammad's having sex with Aisha when she was 9. It's perfectly acceptable for 9-year-olds to be married in countries that follow strict Islamic law. Child marriage is not uncommon. For evidence, look at this filthy pedophile of a sheikh approving the marriage of a 26-year-old man to a 13-year-old girl. You will be shocked. http://www.islam-qa.com/index.php?ref=27305&ln=eng&txt=marriage+age Note the Koranic verse he gives:
The validity of marriage to a minor girl is proven by the words of Allaah (interpretation of the meaning):
“And those of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the ‘Iddah (prescribed period), if you have doubt (about their periods), is three months; and for those who have no courses [(i.e. they are still immature) their ‘Iddah (prescribed period) is three months likewise, except in case of death]”
[al-Talaaq 65:4]
(6) According to the Fatwa mentioned above, arranged marriage is allowed in Islam if the girl is a minor. If she has reached the age of puberty, however, the marriage cannot take place without her consent:
A girl who is thirteen years old may have reached the age of puberty, in which case her consent is essential according to the more correct of the two scholarly opinions, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “A previously-married woman should not be married until she has been consulted, and a virgin should not be married until her permission has been sought.” They said: “O Messenger of Allaah, what is her permission?” He said: “If she remains silent.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5136; Muslim, 1419, from the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him). See also question no. 22760.
This is an example of the precious 2 or 3% of Islam that is civilized.
These laws are still practiced in the traditional Muslim world, in countries such as Iran, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the Gulf states. Again, Muslims wouldn't protest these barbarities because it would mean admitting Islam is wrong. I've seen Muslims here defend stoning to death, amputating the hands of thieves, flogging, and the death sentence for apostasy and blasphemy. I hope I've been able to answer your questions, and I've based my answers solely on Islamic sources.
And the rest, of course, is right in front of your nose. Muslims giving me thumbs downs without bothering to refute any of my points, and far from refuting me, simply proving everything I've said right by DEFENDING these practices ONCE AGAIN.

Firstly, the most disappointing thing is that no one has questioned the need for the so called Danish cartoons. When provocation is done the reason fails to prevail. Please analyse all the answer below and get their bias evaluated dispassionately by some sane people. How much is the digression from from the original subject matter? Okay, the reaction of Muslim world was unethical but what about the so-called civilised people have done after 9/11, to the Muslims living in the west, and taking revenge from those who never ever participated in that event?Even the above statements and replies to this question have little justification. It appears every answer is full of scath and frenzy-sometimes talking of emancipation of woman, at sametime homosexuality and promiscuosness. If so-called west itself cannot respect the reverend people of muslim world and start hurling abuses and filth on them, what moral right have they got for their remarks pouring in response to this question?

Not if those killed are infidels, e.g christians, buddhists, hindu, etc etc, they don't count as " innocent people " according to fanatics who take the koran so so literally. See link below & read the quote from Muhammad Abu Yaffir, leader of a demonstration in Cardiff protesting against laws across Europe they say are anti-Islam. "Wherever Muslims feel pain anywhere in the world it is our responsibility to respond to their needs ". "The laws being proposed are a form of oppression and we will respond to this oppression." Wonder what he means? As it's fairly obvious radical/hard-line/manic/fanatical muslim or not, moderates will back them over everyone else any day. Purely because they're fellow muslims. As for image thing it's just how the individual muslim feels as to whether " he " takes offence. I don't see this problem going away any time soon.

They marched against the cartoons, they closed art exhibitions, they joined with christians against the equal rights law for gay people...and yet they want their religion to be respected.
I don't get the big cartoon uproar...though the newspapers didn't help! It's religious laws that dictate this kind of insanity (and not just muslim laws!!!!!).
They are allowed to be offended but cannot under any circumstances be criticised for their violence and unreasonable behaviour....their god laws mean that they are not accountable for the atrocities they perpetrate (again this applies to many religions).
What is most interesting is that they keep telling us that we portray them as violent and they claim it's not true...and yet they violently protest, cause damage, threaten to kill infidels...the list goes on...they keep proving themselves wrong.
Where is the outcry?
I'm outraged!

Anything their prophet did, they can do. They are known by their works. A western muslim woman from the UK may talk about rights in the western world because Our governments will not tolerate their communal nonsense here. Wiil she be able to say and achieve the same in Arabia, Iran/iraq, Afghansitan, Pakistan, Yemen etc?.
Is a woman Truly Free in the arab world to dress, feel good abt herself and have a sense of self worth?
No Driving licences, no display and appreciation of their beauty. No protection
They do not know love nor God
It looks like the western world is truly protecting these women and elevating them by not Killing them and hanging them from cranes etc.
Some of them, not all are just a bunch of hypocrites overcome by paranoia

They expect everyone to follow their rules, pure and simple.
If its in their book or their prophet did it, they must do it and can't go against it.
Which is why, none of them can:
- speak for themselves
- express new opinions or views
- innovate
- progress
Which is why all muslim countries are 3rd world countries and have zero growth.
95% of global progress comes from countries where people use their brains as God intended, i.e. the non-muslim countires.
And Ali above has just proven this by quoting some random text instead of thinking for himself and expressing his own opinion.
Its a religion of jealousy. They are jealous that we, the non-muslims own the world. And they want to make the playing field level by bringing everyone back into the dark ages.
And the idiot that posted about pork and how dangerous it is to eat it (in another post) - That only applies to 3rd world countries, where your standards are so low. We actually take care in preparing our food buddy. We have fridges and clean abbatoirs and regulations. We don't leave our meat hanging in the hot sun for a week before undercooking it and eating it with our dirty hands. Tapeworm? Ha, that's a joke. Who the hell gets tapeworm in the 1st world?
Muslims - go ahead and give me a thumbs down - prove to the world that you have no desire/ability to use your brain.

I must reply to the silly silly girl sara f who agrees with stoning, I suggest she moves to saudi arabia and witness first hand what happens to women who are raped. No-one cares that her will was violated, they deem her responsible and stone her anyway- do your research! they are even stoning women who do not wish to wear the veil!!!!

Most people are blind to their own prejudices.
But you have a point.
The question that arises whenever faith communities react violently is "Don't you think that your God is big eneough to look after himself.?" Mine IS

So true! my only criticism is this ignorant, narrow minded approach is religion wide. Take the Catholics for instance, the pope walks on gold but others are dying of starvation and suffering unbearable pain from treatable diseases. Same thing!
There is good and bad in everything regardless of religion, culture, gender etc. And i believe for every pathetic Muslim that carries on as you have described and we have all seen on TV, there is a peaceful, loving Muslim
