If you insult God then you are not a christian. Christians love theyr father in heaven, and would do nothing to hurt Him. If that person calls themselfs a christian and they do that they are trying to insult God. God loves us and his children woudlnt insult him.

they love god, or educated to pretend they do, and therefor offended when you insult god.
it's not all of them of course, but i think these are the christians you talk about:
they see god the same way you see your children/parents/closest friends.
when someone insults a mother's child, the closest soul she has, she's insulted herself.
