Pride goeth before destruction, a haughty look before a fall.

No, I am proud of nothing, I am eternally grateful for my relationship with Jesus Christ.

Of course I am, thats why I like to share my beliefs with others! The bible does not condone pride in the sense of putting people down, and thinking that you are better than someone else. The Bible writer James shows that there is a connection between a contentious spirit and pride. After exposing the “wars” and “fights” that some people wage among themselves, he goes on to say: “God opposes the haughty ones, but he gives undeserved kindness to the humble ones.” (James 4:1-3, 6) But I am proud be be known as a Jehovah's Witness. Pride when used the right way benefits everyone!

Pride like Jealously are mostly taken into context as bad. But they do have their good side also. Pride in the bible refers to selfishness and disrespect.

So yes i am proud of my relationship and understanding of God , so far. But it is an on going education.

The pride mentioned in the Bible is a pride of thinking that you have accomplished a great thing of your own accord and intelligence without giving any thanks to the God who created you and equipped you with everything you needed for the task.

Yes, the Bible does teach that "pride comes before a fall and a haughty spirit before destruction". But what is pride? It is exagerated feelings of self worth becase of ones own accomplishments. My relationship with God has got nothing to do with my own deeds, it is all Him and Him alone. I can only boast in Jesus. My uinderstanding of Him is based on Him revealing Himself to me through His word.

Yes, I am pleased with my relationship with Him and my knowledge/understanding of Him. I can't boast in it thoigh.

Seek Him whilst He may be found. Call on Him whilst He is near. He will answer and you will not regret it.

Precisely, it cannot be pride but thankfulness.
Understanding of the love and knowledge of God is not as getting a title to be proud, but it is truly a thankful receipt of the spiritual light to properly conduct our life and may be of some dutiful service to our neighbours. We need not to roam around with an arrogant behaviour, but to bow down before all humanity to humbly serve them physically, intellectually and spiritually.

Pride is the wost sin that christians commit ( most are enslaved to it). It has lead them to kill others who they KNOW are wrong, to condemn other people of good will who disagree with them, to think they can fill in the blank on issues of which the bible is silent, claim to know more about science than scientists ( better to just disbelieve that to argue pathetically against them). I always get a kick out of those on here that say that people who don't believe as they do are going to hell. At least those condenmed will have the company of those who say that.
Of course the last trap of doing away with pride is when one becomes proud of who humble they are.

Pride is another one of Satan's attributes. This pride is directed towards his own beauty and accomplishments; Ezekiel 28:17 points this out: "Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee." Many today are afflicted with this same pride. Those in the world are seeking beauty today as never before. Beauty aids, make-up, glamorous clothes, beautiful homes and plush automobiles are only a few of the things the world is seeking today. These things in themselves are not evil, but the lust for them is. (I John 2:16, "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.") Satan's unusual beauty was one of the causes of his destruction. It contributed to the excessive development of his pride.

Spiritual beauty is also a deadly trap. God blesses many with His gifts and graces, but then those same gifts become a source of pride when the people cease to be able to handle them with humility. They begin seeing themselves as better than others and soon take credit for their holiness and spirituality instead of glorifying God. This ultimately leads to their fall. (Proverbs 16:18, "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.")
