Judas Iscariot ?

Truth number one, is that Judas, like Peter may have been pre-destined to their roles. Peter to deny Jesus, and Judas to betray Jesus.

Regardless of his role, the role of Judas would have been insignificant in his role to die; Jesus had as his mission a role which he would have to provide.

So is there a purpose to the role of Judas ?

Is it to show that we should not prejudge others, and ourselves to our purpose relative to the 'way of the cross' as it relates to Christ.

Is it to show an abstract representation to us that in some cases we are predestined for actions that may appear inappropriate to us at the time, but are important to the message of Jesus Christ, and that we should not 'betray the cross' and the role we will play relative to the wishes of God ?

Is it possible that Judas provides 'the role' of betrayal, not that he betrayed Jesus Christ, but that he betrayed his role, by taking his life, in light of an action that was in his eyes a betrayal, but in the depths of prophesy was critical to the message from within and from without ?

Bottom line, it is not up to us to judge people or is it ?

A christian prays to god for 1000 cancer patients to be healed in their town.

A muslim prays to allah for 1000 cancer patients to be healed in their town.

A voodoo doctor rubs a magic potion on 1000 cancer patients in his village.

I pray to a stump for 1000 cancer patients to be healed in my town.

If your god is so powerful......why is it that we will all experience the same percentage of "healings" and deaths?

I really try to gain respect for you. I used to be one of you. However when you guys talk about how you would be joyful about the end of the world. I feel angry at you...... The reason is that if there is no God you will end humanity. I feel like if we had world peace you would be looking for war to achieve your biblical dooms day.(not all but some of you) I mean Christian are suppose to work for world peace!!!!!

I support aggressive US foreign policy but even i have limits and world peace is what i want for humanity more then anything.

What would make all my muscles and joints ache. I have a really bad rash thats raised big and red with blisters the blisters are kind of drippy, they are all over my body. They don't itch but they hurt really bad. I have a really bad fever and my throat hurts. It is getting more and more difficult to breathe, it feels like something else is already inside my chest. It is so weird my right hand is not working too good right now it looks kind of like a lobster claw. I am starting to get the rash on my scalp I mean am I gonna loose my hair? The rash is in the nether reigons too, talk about pain. I feel really dizzy too. I hope it is not contagious when nobody could see the rash I held my new grandbaby twins. They are so cute, so tiny, a little premature.
Any ideas on what is wrong with me?
Thank you for your help in advance.

I always say our family prayer - it's just my husband and I and he always wants me to say it - and I feel like sometimes I am just saying the same things...I guess anyone can answer this, not just LDS.
How can I make my prayers less repetative when I am really trying to thank for all we have and ask for what we need???

I used to disagree with it in cases except rape. But as I've gotten older and seen all these girls with all these kids with seperate fathers, and none of them around, I wonder what they're thinking. I think it's looked down upon far too much, anymore. Shouldn't it actually be encouraged in some sense? God asked Abraham to sacrifice his birthed son as God even did for us! It's almost as if these girls are thinking selfishly by bringing these children into this world of their own sin to create more sin for lack of the affection and education that they fail to give. Is it not sad, and should it be alright to dicourage these girls of delivering these children? Very few of you us take responsibity for our own actions anymore, and that includes our influence's.

yes there are many verses that are quoted from the Quran that include the word "kill" to make people believe it is evil. but when the verses are read in context its obvious that its self defense.
this one verse disproves anything you say of islam being intolerant or "evil."
"Allah does not forbid you respecting those who have not made war against you on account of (your) religion, and have not driven you forth from your homes, that you show them kindness and deal with them justly; surely Allah loves the doers of justice." The Noble Quran, 60:8

I want you to ignore the stereotype of a muslim today and just look at the verse and tell me if it preaches violence? Please no disrespect. i dont want to sound preachy or anything i just want to take away some of the misconceptions toward islam today. thank you.

Can anyone link me to an American poll, taken at any time by any reputable polling organization, where 25% or more of the people polled say that they should teach evolution ONLY (not creationism or Intelligent Design) in science class?

Thanks.

I was told to write a paper about a hero in English class and the hero had to have tried to make life better for others, and take risks, so I chose Jesus Christ. My teacher said i can't make my paper all about religion though so i need to know how has Jesus changed the world (without looking at the miracles he performed).
I know he gave millions of people something to believe in, but is there anything else you can think of?

...then why has he watched millions of people die in genocides and has done nothing about it?

I am thinking of starting the RCIA classes in a few weeks and through research, research has told me to do more research. I need some good books to read. If anyone could give me some titles I would really appreciate it. Preferably something that is easy to understand. Religion is confusing enough as it is, right?
