i mean no one screamed persacution when the native americans where forced to reservations no one screamed persacution when the witch trails happened no one screamed persacution when the jews where killed in the holocaust. then why are you christians screaming it? it seems to me that you christians dont even know real persacution since it still goes on today. people lose their jobs for being pagan or atheist in a christian work place or a homosexual gets beat up outside a bar by christians.

you dont know real persacution i am afriad to say in the least

...know very much about those other religions--other than the fact that the people believe differently then they do and that supposedly makes them bad?

In the question about Religious Propaganda, one of the answers told the mother she was doing a disservice to her daughter for saying Jesus did not exist. It was a statement that really caught me off guard.

I am an atheist, and I have two young children. Neither is really old enough to discuss these things with, but at some point we will talk about my beliefs, their mother's beliefs, and eventually what they believe. I will always be up from an honest about how I feel. I will also be very supportive in whatever beliefs that they decide to embark on. I just hope they explore, research, and learn everything they can about something before coming to a decision.

I think it was very presumptious for someone to imply even discussing atheism and that god does not exist around a child is bad. I guess I could say the same thing about christians who tell their children there is a god.

I've heard so much talk about the Daylight Llama, and how he is living in exile, but why is he special, and is there a Nighttime Alpaca?

Also, is his wool prized above all others?

I want to try and help some really sick people. But you can not just drive up to a hospital and say "Hey can I see some really sick people?" They will think you are a really sick person, this time in the head, instead of the healer that you are. I want to heal others and I can't do that unless there is some sort of connection. Visible and touch is good, and what I want to do, if I could just manage a how.

Accordring to most acceptable views supported by logic & rationality the process of evolution, was guided by some supereme mind(god) and as a starting point of every species including humans females were created/evolved.these were sort of super females, who can reproduce by thier own(i.e without male fertization)so they give births & when offsprings matured, the females among them also got dual-properties,i.e either give birth by male fertilization or even without them(if males absent),then gradually over time span thier this ability got vanished.also not single female was created/evolved,there were many in various regions of earth simultanously.
As i believes that"holy mary"was virgin and poise woman.she give birth to "holy jesus" and world wide in nearly all religons it is believed that it was a"miracle"
now as per above here goes my question:

can we assume that mary give birth to jesus by gods will and her same chemistry got activated, which was associated with primative females?

Many people have a favorite song, poem, religious passage or insightful excerpt from a book which they have made a part of their inner life or personal spiritual practice. If it feels appropriate, share one of yours.

They're putting up a HUGE cross next door at the local church. You can see it for blocks in either direction. Meanwhile, I've actually been physically threatened for wearing a small pentagram necklace to the grocery store.

I've noticed a LOT of the Christians here on Answers saying, "Well, the Bible says Christians will be persecuted...". Huh? How exactly are you persecuted? I live in America and I see a cross everywhere I go. We've never NOT had a president who didn't at least claim to be Christian, and every time I turn on the TV, I see a political speech, a sporting event, or a college graduation ceremony being "opened in prayer".

I'm terribly confused as to how, exactly, you guys are getting the short end of the stick. When was the last time you actually thought someone would hurt you for wearing a cross? Because I have to hide my pentagram if I want to truly feel safe....

I have never seen a single piece of actual evidence providing a clear picture to whether or not evolution is true. I don't believe in Evolution and I don't know how anyone else could if theres nothing to prove it. Just a question. take no offense.

If you believe in micro-evlution, isn't it just a matter of time until a species splits in two because the sexual equipment of two or more popuations evolves to the point where reproduction between teh populations is impossible.

Doesn't the existence of micro-evolution make macro-evolution a mathematical certainty?

I keephearing that Noah took one of every kind of animal on the ark. But nobody will say exactly what a 'kind' is. There is a specific scientific defintion of a species which (for practicial purposes) says that two animals are part of the same species if they could produce a viable offspring.

Now I know that the way Ii've worded it means two males are not part of the same species,, but I've shorteened it down by for easier consumption. By viable I mean able to produce offspring of their own. For instance, lions and tigers can mate and the result wiill be aliger. But ligers are unable to reproduce.

So in order to understand the viability of the flood theory, I need to understand what constitutes a kind.

There is one thing that still exists IN THE CHRISTIAN bible, and that there is a story of an angel that Marks the foreheads of a righteous people of God. And that mark is called a "RED DOT". I only know of ONE kind of religious people that still practice putting red dots on their forehead. Can you share me more insights on this?

I know it's kinda gross, but speaking of weird priorities... It is part of the Ten Commandments. Please do not argue here about what you may think the "real" ten commandments are, this has already been settled...
These ARE the ten commandments (the words of the covenant) that Moses wrote on the tablets and and you can check Exodus 34:28 for yourself and look for the words "עשרת הדברים Aseret ha-Dvarîm," if you wish:
|1. Thou shalt worship no other god...
|2. Thou shalt make thee no molten gods...
|3. The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep...
|4. All that openeth the matrix is mine...
|5. Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest...
|6. Thou shalt observe the feast of weeks...
|7. Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven...
|8. Neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.
|9. The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring...
|=>10. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk...|

How can the goverments and terrorists be stopped?

Why is ther so much leniency for criminals?

Why are our human rights virtually 0?

When are we going to see that we all have differences, and just try to just get along with one another?

We must all try to something positive!

What do you think?
