"Let he who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast for it is a human number, its number is 6 6 6."
Revelations 13 ,18
6 angels+6 triangels+6 straight lines=Israeli Star.
Since the emergence of the state of Israel in 1948, "alterations" have been made to history due to suspicious "discoveries":
(1) The translation of the above verses from the Book Of Revelations have been altered as follows:
-... reckon the number of the beast for it is the "number of a MAN" ( instead of the previously accepted translation: "a human number")
-(it has been found (later by Jewish historians) that the number is not 666, but either 616 or 665!
(2) Pope declared the Jews innocent from the blood of Jesus .

Could it be that the "Beast" has been finally able to fool everybody in the 20th century, made a flag of its mark and transformed all the historical suspicion towards it into empathy?
Think before you shout . . .life is not what it seems and the devil is clever.
Make your research.

to me its like if you love your grandpa or someone and they are hung to death after being beaten, almost to death...and spit on and stabbed and stuff....would you be walking around with a noose on your neck and bible and everywhere the cross is? the bible even says not to use the cross..dont know if this is why but, it does say not to use it...i just figure like my grandpa or someone, i would find a better way to 'remember' him by than the weapon that killed him..like following , let along reading his teachings(not just the accknowledged most mis interpreted kj version)

this world will be a chaos at that time when the anti-christ comes and that's when the end will come.

i know there is a lot to be interpreted but, if it says no male prostitutes or homosexuals will inherit the kingdom of god, how else do you interpret that? that it some way everyone should be homo? or when it clearly says there is one unforgivable sin, blasphemy against the holy spirt, for this you shall not be forgiven...how else do you interpret that?? i know alot is left to interpret (thou shall not kill) but what about the plain hebrew thats in plain english now?

For example, a pedophile...

From a christian perspective, we still need to show that person love. What does that mean exactly? How do you deal with that?

"No, because I don't think Jesus existed" etc., you get a thumbs down for this? You answered the question honestly, why should you get a thumbs down for stating what you believe?

when question is asked about atheists in this section and the christians respond, "they just dont want to admit we are right", or "they just dont want to admit they need god"

isnt that a form of arrogance or pride? and arent those sins according to the bible?

sounds like a prideful remark to me, "because they dont want to admit that IM right and they are WRONG"

*shrug* what do u think? doesnt that sound a bit 2nd "grade-ish"?

when they haven't live what is beging real spiritual, why an atheist would answer all those questions to people who is lost...
Is like a blind leading the way to another blind.
Is so sad to see that in Yahoo answers.
IF you have a question that is religious or spiritual please , do a search on those who live what they believe .
But those who are atheist are just stopping people to get to the truth, easy for them to hear them When You lost in your own way you wanted keep it that way and rather to hear someone who is lost too.
When you do a question about GOD religion or spirituality ask who create this.
Is like asking question about computers to a shoe maker or food specialist, well this is not a question is just something to you think about .
Who are you asking what? if is about food ask a cheef ask a food expert, if is about money ask donald. Don't waste your time. trying to get wisdom here.
good luck

Many people say that God is omnibenevolent. Which is to say all-good. Whatever the best thing there is to do is, God is doing it.

The problem with this viewpoint is that it means that God has no choice. Whenever there are options, God MUST always take the most good one. If God ever failed to do this, it would be possible to exceed Him, something which most religious folks tell me is RIGHT OUT.

Without free will, God becomes an automaton. A force of nature. God cannot change His mind, because the decision about whether to do good or not is already made for Him - He ALWAYS will do it.

This leaves me between a rock and a hard place. If God is really omnibenevolent, then it makes Him seem more like an alien space robot (JHVH-1?) than an actual god. If God is not omnibenevolent, then how can we actually trust that He's going to carry through on the things He promised?

Any ideas?

I was at work and I started talking to a fellow Christian who works there. We had a really deep conversation about God. He said he was the same denom as me, and he gave me the address to his church. So I said, sure I'll visit you.
But I just looked up that church's website. Even though they say they're the same denom, some of their beliefs are contradictory to mine.
I'll probably go visit them once. But how can I tell him I don't feel like going back -- without getting into the details?

They always say "A men", which is mixing singular and plural, so it should really be either "A man" or "Many men".

Or is it some Zen way of trying to express the trinity?

Kind of like "3in1" all purpose oil.

i dont think any where in the bible does it say that you need a relationship with jesus or god to be a good person anyways.
i dont even think jesus would say its a relationship with the people that follow him around either your a christian or not. a relationship with god would fit more into being a spiritualist not a christian two different beliefs and ideas. so why claim it a relationship when you read a book or go to church then?

People pray to God for money, power and many other things I mostly want Dear God to let me die with the true religion, to reveal me the true religion, to open my eyes...I want to be close to God, but i don't know still of wot religion is truly true...Christianity and Islam are two religion that have most confidence in me,..O people can u pray to God to help me to bless me and those wishes of mine...I had miracles of my own in my childhood, i was a muslim then, i prayed to God for something and immediately my prayer was answered, I used to have those encounters at night where i couldn't move my muscle and couldn't do anything andi heared weird sound and i believe this because of encounter with demon, my Muslim cleric taught me a prayer to say when this happened, and amazingly this stopped. I was scared os storm and oneday i saw clouds with thunder outside, I said a prayer many times and it was written that when we say this prayer, the clouds will get into many pieces, and truly after sometimes it did happened, another day I was sick and couldn’t taste much of food, my Muslim cleric said prayers for my sickness and offer me some sweets and after eating it, I got my taste for food back..all these happened when I was Muslim, yet when I think of Christianity I feel kind and love in my heart which draws confusion in me, and there are others which also confused me…plz People truly pray to God the Almighty One for me…plz
