I heard someone commenting that over several lives (human or not-human), a soul retains its gender actually allotted to it since inception. Like a men will have a masculine gender always irrespective of species he is born into. Same with women.

Is that true? Your views plz.......

This constant search for peace and rest.
Vain world, can you appease this quest?
Do your vast mega stores supply this rest?
Glamour, riches, pride and fame!
When claimed are merely just a name!
They fail to truley satisfy!
Oh, it is my soul! It is it's cry.
Are we lost in sin?
Estranged from God the soul from within?
Have mercy, the Lord please, commence.
A voice now calls my name:
Dear Sinner, I have borne your blame.
Have I shed my blood for thee in vain?
No, surely Jesus is not a game.
To him your eternal soul, he reigns...
No water, no light, no rest?
Does hellish fire await?
Dear friend, today a loving Lord will save you from this fate.
Come humbly now, accept his grace,
before it is too late.
What talents brought have been given you for naught?
Shouldn't it be used here and abroad to glorify God?
Wouldn't eyes adore to see and ears to hear a sermon from
Al Pacino or Will Smith my dear?

... In a faith OTHER than your own?

Why?

Would your admiration of this person ever cause you to leave your faith for theirs?

I feel like I am constantly praying or meditating because it's the only thing that makes me feel better. I just wonder how we are to seperate those selfish hurts from our prayers, or is it even possible? Also, how do we maintain when we are constantly presented by more hurts and sadness? Nothing will make me stop believing in God, but I mean this...aren't you afraid sometimes you'll slip back into how you "used to be" before God picked you up and dusted you off, and gave you new clothes? If you've never been here before, just leave the question for someone else. Thanks.

Having being a devout christian for 10 years, there's nothing that can shake off this feeling of loneliness. And since God does not have anything to do with providing us with a mate, being a good christian will not help you in this area. The loneliness with be there forever and it's one of the worst feelings in the world to have. Life is not worth living if you feel the constant emptiness and eternal loneliness. There's no joy in your life if you can't share your love with someone.

A new report released today shows that “two NASA space probes that visited Mars 30 years ago may have stumbled upon alien microbes on the Red Planet and inadvertently killed them” and I’m just overly curious how the religious community will process and respond to alien life. Now I’m not saying that this find is in any way intelligent, but what happens when we do actually find another self-realized being?

I know that the Christian Church has no official position on this matter of intelligent alien life, but wouldn’t they immediately have to have one? How could they continue to assert divine importance of humanity with existence of different life elsewhere? Seeing how most religious text claimed man’s unique status and that we were created in any perfect image, could it still claim to be valid? Or would the find of intelligent life elsewhere make most present organized religions so emaciated and archaic as to make them impossible to believe in?

It's a Free Ticket!

And Tickets Are Still Available

Predestination and election can be easily understood with the following illustration: Bob Smith lives in Tyler, Texas. He has been invited to attend a banquet in Shreveport, Louisiana. The host for the banquet sent Bob a ticket for a seat on a bus scheduled to leave Tyler at 9:30 a.m. on a Wednesday and arrive in Shreveport at 12:00 noon the same day-just in time for the party.

The destination of the bus has been predetermined. As soon as Bob steps onto the bus, he becomes a participant in this predetermined trip. His ticket assures him of a seat on the bus. His destination is certain.

However, if Bob throws away his ticket before departure, or if he gets off the bus between Tyler and Shreveport, he will not arrive at the destination originally intended for him.

The same is true of the predetermined journey God has set before us. If we use the free "ticket" He has given to us, get aboard the "bus" to the Kingdom, and stay on the bus until it arrives, we will arrive at our proper destination. But if we get off the "bus" before it reaches its destination, we will not enter the Kingdom. Or, if we throw away the "ticket" before boarding, we will forfeit our "seat" on the bus and lose the privilege of participating in the predetermined journey.

The host of the banquet invited many, offering them free tickets, but many of them declined the offer. The only ones finally chosen for participation in the festivities were those who made the trip and showed up for the banquet.

Divine election is no different. God chooses those who choose Him. Many are invited, but those finally chosen for participation in the Kingdom are those who accept God's provisions for salvation. Jesus Christ is the Elect One chosen from the foundation of the world (Isaiah 42:1; 1 Peter 1:20). He is the Way into the Kingdom of God (John 14:6). When we accept Him, we are "in Christ," and become participants in His death and resurrection (Romans 6:311; 2 Corinthians 4:14). Similarly, by joining ourselves to the Elect One, becoming members of His Body, we become participants in His election.

The muslim taxi drivers in the minneapolis airport are discriminating against seeing eye dogs and anyone with a dog and also if you are carrying alchohol. They are given licenses to work at that airport so no other taxis can come there. If they are not doing their job should they be fired?? Is it ok then that I discriminate and refuse to do business with a muslim taxi driver ??

Reading some of the questions relating to abortion has confused me there seems to be three views on abortion they are:-

1. It's a womans right to choose
2. It's murder and totally unacceptable
3. It's killing innocent life but ok if you are raped or in medical danger

1 and 2 are straightforward enough it's the third opinion that confuses me. If a feteus is a baby from the word go and abortion is killing this baby what difference does it make what the circumstances are?

If someone was raped carried the child to term then decided to murder the baby as it reminded her of her attacker is that ok?

You can't have it both ways, its either part of the Mother and therefore she has a right to chose whether or not to carry the baby to term OR it's a baby from the word go and killing it cannot be justified.

I've seen a lot of answers in this forum that lead to the assumption that Christians deny the existence or effect of DNA on the construction of an organic body. Deoxyribo Nucleic Acid is a chemical compound, millions of which exist. Why is this particular kind so hard to accept? Or do they just believe that they are unrelated with certain issues of a human body?

I mean, there's plenty of scientific proof that homosexuality is not a choice and instead a genetic trait, but is there anything that you people as religious folks have to say about it? WHY is it an abomination of God or whatever? Is there a problem with two guys or two women (sexually) loving eachother?
