The only way you'll satisfy yourself on this is to put it to the test.
Find an astrologer and have that person draw up a natal chart for you. Then give that person three dates on which very important things happened in your life, without saying what they were.
If the astrologer can tell YOU what happened, that ought to answer your question.

well if you believe in God, than you obviously believe that no one other than Him is able to see the future for He is the omiscient. To think that any ''astrology'' could see into what He does, is assuming the attributes of God, the all - seeking to the creation which is without doubt wrong, and rightly so. He is perfection, we cannot imitate that as creation. Also, i think that you'll find that many astrological predictions are based on estimations and guesses. as humans, its in our innate nature to ignore the false predictions and listen to the few truths. which were proven to be only 25% true!

Astrology is an ancient science with very few people with its complete knowledge.. Prediction by people with limited knowledge r not correct. Wrong or incomplete knowing of a science doesnot make the science wrong.
