My parents are agnostics and I'm an atheist. When I was growing up they never told me whether or not there was a god, so I figure I probably had about as good a chance as possible of working it out independently.
Having said that, if their beliefs had influenced mine I wouldn't know it. That's the whole point, the influence is usually subtle enough that you feel as though you're making your own choice.

I was real young when my parents when to church. I am guessing I was 5. Then they got out and I think sis and I went some on a church bus but that wasnt often. Then didnt go to church at all for many many years. So really no one taught me about God and Jesus because what I did learn I forgot cause of being so young. I learned about God and Jesus when I started in church and started reading the bible, and that was after I got saved.

My parents raised me to choose whatever I believed in. They informed me about christianity and evolution, and let me decide which to believe in. Friends didn't influence my choice. They knew what I believed in and they understood that and respected it. Noone else has any influence on my decision on whether to be religious or not.

No family or friends influenced my religious beliefs in any way whatsoever. My views are the product of my own objective exploration of spirituality and philosophy.

My parents brought me up Christian as God commanded them to. If I had even thought of being atheist they would have beat it out of me. Unfortunately not all parents love their children enough to prevent their children from straying from the lord. If you have children and they lose their faith in Christianity God tells us to beat them until they come around. They will thank you later when they are in heaven.

I lived with my daddy, my uncle and my grandparents since my mother died when I was a baby. I was taken to church regularly (as we said, I was rocked in a Brethren cradle). Of course that affected my decision to become a Christian as I heard the Word of God in church and saw it lived out at home. I can't imagine life without a strong faith in God and in knowing my Lord Jesus.

My mother believe in GOD but does not follow any religion. My father is Catholic. I am what people refer as a BORN again Christian. I have a personal relationship with GOD though HIS son JESUS the CHRIST. So as you can see no my parents did not have an effect on me.

No. Dad was a non practising orthodox and mum was dead. I decided later in life (21) to become a Christian through my own research and dad was not pleased.
