Psalm 146:4 - "His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish."

Some are taught in church that Hell is a place of suffering where evil souls go and Heaven is where good people go.

This is not a bible teaching:

Did Abraham die and went to a ever-burning hell? Surely idol worshippers would not be in heaven. Yet, Abraham was with his forefathers, Scripture says.
Joshua 24:2 - "Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor; and they served other deities," Genesis 15:15. "And you shall go to your fathers".

King David was a righteous king he must of gone to heaven? NO?
Acts 2:34 - For David did not ascend into the heavens.

When Lazarus died Jesus spoke to Martha that he was in Heaven? NO?
John 11:11 - Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

Besides Jesus there must of been some one righteous enough to go to heaven? NO?
John 3:13 - No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

When Jesus kingdom arrives he promised the good will go to heaven. NO?
Matthew 5:5 - Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Surely people who are holy as saints and priests will rule with Jesus in heaven? NO?
Revelation 5:10 - You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth."

finally, the second death (from Rev 21:8) is a location for bad people to suffer in a fiery place. NO?
Rev 20:14 - And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

-The Second death is a judgment not a location. Jesus is promising that those who are not wicked will be resurrected and never die again. (Rev 20:15)

Verdict: Death is Hell. It's the grave where we are like in a sleep like state but have no conscience thought. Waiting to be brought back to life if we have followed Jesus teachings.

The vast majority of "good folks" will live forever in paradise on earth (see Scriptures below).

Jehovah's Witnesses understand the Scriptures to teach that exactly 144,000 humans will join Christ Jesus as kings and priests to administer God's Kingdom (which will soon replace all earthly governments) after Armageddon.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite
(Revelation 14:1) Lamb [Jesus] standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand
(Revelation 20:6) they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him

Over whom will they rule? Over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

Almighty Jehovah God selects those few who have the heavenly calling from among godfearing worshippers, including many who were never Jehovah's Witnesses. Today, each true worshipper "feels" his own hope and each person's hope remains unquestioned by his fellow Christians. Still the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%*) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

Heaven is the place where those who place their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior go when their bodies die.
Faith is the key...we are all sinners, and cannot earn our way into salvation. Christ already earned our way by paying our price with His blood.
Once you place your faith in Jesus, you are compelled by love to serve Him. The greatest commandment is to love one another. Therefore, good works that come from this are done through obedience and love. They are not the test to enter or not enter heaven.
As for the reference...Read Rev. 21. Prior to the Day of Judgement, both heaven and earth will flee, for no place will be found for them before the throne of God the Father. After the faithless are judged and thrown into the lake of fire (second death) for eternity, there will be a new heaven and a new earth -- free from sin and death. A new Jerusalem will exist for those who place their faith in Christ. Read it for yourself.

In Revelation, it tells us that after the tribulation, Jesus will set up His Kingdom on earth and will reign on earth for a thousand years. But, by then the earth will be perfect. There is also a heaven, read Revelation is my suggestion.

If Heaven was a place where only good folks go then I wouldn't be allowed in. No one is good except Christ Himself. Heaven is the place where sinners who are saved by grace go. I am a card carrying member of that club!

no its where all the people who believe in jesus will go. many christians believe good people will go to hell for not believing, and bad people will go to heaven for believing.

thus essentially heaven can be full of murders/rapists while hell can be full of people with good hearts. *shrug* i guess thats "justice" though.
