Christians are sometimes like whining children. Take away their toy and they scream like they're being tortured. Take prayer out of school (where it had unconstitutionally resided) and they throw a tantrum. Try to maintain a separation of church and state and they make it seem as though they're being marginalized and oppressed.

I am a Christian. I don't "scream" persecution, nor do I persecute others. How can you hold Christians of today responsible for what others have done? Tell me, if one black man is a criminal, does that mean ALL black men are criminals? Of course not! If ONE rock artist is a drug addict, does that mean they all are? Certainly not! What about women? If one woman is a backstabbing, adulterous, evil person, does that mean ALL women are? NO! If one atheist murders somebody, does that make ALL atheists murderers? Of course not! And Hitler was Austrian. Does that mean that ALL Austrians are like Hitler? NO! Quit judging all by the actions of a few. I hate no one. People can claim to be whatever they want, but only God will judge them, and I believe He will judge those who misuse His Name VERY harshly. Do you HONESTLY think, if there IS a God, and everything in the Bible is true, that God would let someone into heaven after they claimed to follow Him, and then did exactly the opposite of what He commanded? I don't believe that for a second! The Crusades, the Inquisition, the hatred of the KKK and the bigotry present in some who call themselves Christians are instruments of SATAN, not God! THEY may have called themselves Christians, but they are NOT following the Bible if they hate others. Therefore, they are NOT Christians.

You need a history lesson

native americans where forced to reservations
this is probably the only one you are right on

no one screamed persacution when the witch trails happened
ANd what do you think stopped them, silly. Did you know they stopped because the Salam girls tried to scream witchcraft against the govener's wife after she tried to get the trials to stop. Many people were scared at being caught up in it. NO witches were hung during this time, it was nothing but a bunch of idiots wanting revenge and land.

no one screamed persacution when the jews where killed in the holocaust.
Yeah, and that's why America and England never went to war with Germany and Hilter won. OH, wait, that didn't happen. We did go to war and WE won.

You're only examples of persecution come from the past. You don't know how to live in the present. There are places in the world where being Christian is like a death sentance. Owning a bible is a crime. YOu complain because some American doens't like your pentical? OH, boo hoo!

If you want to see persecution, look at this site. WHen was the last time you saw someone write "I want to take a dump on Buddha" or "What do we call the Goddess's privates?" Never! But we see crap like that all the time on here. THe only thing that makes me feel better is when the atheists get in their little, "Let's get rid of all religion" they forget that wiccans and other "peaceful" religions that they'd defend normally are included in ALL religions.

OK, I see your point, I really do, as I am Native American and I agree that white men and Christians have historically been bullies, yet cry the most when they are the ones on the receiving end of any bullying. But isn't that the nature of a bully? They have to act big and bad to compensate for their feelings of inadequacy. My only problem with your questions is, for one, all the misspellings, and two, your question sounds more like you are angry with one particular Christian that upset you and not the whole group, who have probably not done much to you. Be the bigger person, and quit contributing to the global labeling. At this point in history, with all the technology and that computer sitting in front of you, we are all brothers and sisters and the world will only get better when we all start acting accordingly.

May God's love surround you always, brother. (And I don't care by what you call God.)

They certainly do not know it in America. I would say those that live in Islamic Nations probably know what persecution is. But here? No way. A majority of almost 90% can not claim to be persecuted by us minorities. It's amusing (and annoying) when people claim because other religions want equality in the Freedoms offered that somehow they are being persecuted. If being called names, being told one is crazy for believing something, etc is being persecuted, I'd have to say the Minorities get persecuted by Christians screaming "You're going to hell to burn for eternity".

Personally, I think the one's that do scream persecution are doing so just to get attention... to make it appear they are absolutely right. A verse in the Bible they love to use for this is "you will be hated for my name's sake"... but what they don't get is that people do not hate them because they believe in Jesus. They get attacked because they treat others as beneath them because of their belief... and there is no justification for it. So when someone stands up to them, they cry persecution and use that verse to try to wiggle out of what they did to begin with.

I have been reading some of your questions and man for someone who thinks they know something you are always way off. I am not sure what you are trying to promote here but it seems like you are full of aggression. Dude open the yellow book with all the numbers in it and look under "Psychiatrist". You may need some help channeling all that crap that you plague us with! You walk a lonely path. Very discouraging.

This only shows their ignorance. Many many "Religious Folks" see it as "your either for us or against us". Including gays, Indians, etc. Every group you said comes up with this very idea at some point. I have heard it from them all. Just try and keep this in mind.

Now that we can scream about being persecuted, they're afraid we'll get more attention than they and people might actually start paying attention to what's being done to us, so they start screaming louder to draw that attention back to them.

As I said in my post to Erin J's question - like only children that suddenly have younger siblings. They don't like having to share or being punished when they push their little brother/sister down the stairs, and they certainly don't enjoy that they no longer get their own way.

I don't scream persecution, and I don't persecute anyone.

You have to accept that everyone that says they are christian, are not Christian.
The KKK believed they were christians acting as God would want them to.

I think they're referring to ridicule and I know the Westboro Baptist Church says they are persecuted. That means they suffer lots of discrimination for all the hateful things they do to people.

zero cool pretty much nailed it. It is a one-way street with conservative Christians.

They don't see their preferred method of dealing with non-believers - genocide (preferably through torture, the ripping-off of limbs, and the whacking-off of heads) - as persecution because their 'truth' trumps all morality and ethics.
