No.
I would think anything "martial" would be something that he would not be interested in. He is supposed to be the incarnation of the Buddha of Compassion.

He's never mentioned it that I'm aware of... he might. He's always been more concerned with developing his mind as a monk and his curiosity has always been more towards technical things, especially as a child he'd take things apart to see how they worked, etc. ASK HIM. I'm sure he'd enjoy you asking and would likely answer if he has time.

Just a quick addition for those who say that martial arts aren't for "pacifists": Martial arts can be used in a compassionate way when a person is about to commit some bad act that will destroy their own karma and cause harm to others as well, IF and ONLY IF it is conducted with absolute compassion and for THAT reason only. Monks in Chinese monasteries learned martial arts for that very reason... self defense only. (Tai Chi, and the earliest forms of Kung Fu are like this... Aikido can also be used in this way.) ANYTHING, including killing someone can be used but ONLY with ABSOLUTE BODHICITTA and that takes a long time to achieve... so average citizens like me don't generally use things like this correctly, but it doesn't hurt to learn it for future reference in ways to learn how to subdue the person w/o harming them. Hope this clarifies.
