CONGRESS is investigating this...its no joke.

The question is not whether Muslims did the OKC bombing, but whether they financed it, scripted it, and provided the technology.

How was the Bible assembled, and who decided what to include and what to exclude? The Bible we have now, when was it assembled, and what was the process? Exact facts and dates, if possible, would be appreciated.

Have you noticed that in many of their posts they say "they are sick and tired of religious people trying to force their religion on them"?
Yet here they are just begging for it?
Am I the only one who is actually encouraged by the fact that they are here and seeking?
Have you also noticed that some of the dumbest and most offensive Q's come from them? Is it that age old problem, 'what we dont understand', we criticize?
Finally, have you noticed that most of the reply's to this question will contain hateful remarks and "I'm smart and your stupid" kind of responses?
Anyone else just glad to have them as it is an opportunity to minister to them?

I understand that BECAUSE God was born in the flesh, that we are now under grace and not under the law, right? BUT, did ppl back in the old testament NOT go to heaven? Why? What happened to them? Did they just lie in the ground? God the father was still in Heaven, so why couldn't ppl go there? I understand that we would still be sacrificining animals if He hadn't come, but...
That's all I understand...
Can someone help me?

I am a christian and i feel that the whole evolution thing that we evolved from monkies is a bunch of malarkey. I ask this to all the people i know that believe in evolution, " Why are there still monkies and apes living in forests and zoos." and they never really answer back. So i just say i guess evolution doesnt work then!!

What do you think about it?

If we are expected not to follow satan and/or any of his demons, and if we are expected to hate evil, and wish that satan and demons and all of the evil would be dead and sent back to hell where they came from, then what is the crime of wishing and doing the same thing to the satanworshippers and witches and wiccans of this world as well? Why does most of the world hate satan and evil, but yet embrace evil practices and satan worshippers?? what is wrong with this picture of the world??

Surely encouraging religion leads to acts of extreme bravery, hope and a sense of purpose, while it also brings sectarion violence, like that seen in countries around the world, ranging from Northern Ireland, Israel and Palestine, Iraq, Nigeria, Sudan, Somalia, India, Pakistan, Thailand, and Russia.

The best answer must have reasons supporting your view. I am completely undecided on the matter.

My adult children in their mid 30's have just found out that their father is getting a divorce for the 3rd time since they were babies. He established his first relationship with them when they were in college.(I never remarried at all )
It has been healing for all of them to some extent. My question is: should I not say anything about it one way or the other because i don't want to get into bashing him (and all I probably need is a platform to do so since he left me with 3 children all under the age of 3 to rear by myself (but it was fun!!). I want to support them in their hurt and disappointment, but frankly I don't care what happens to him in his old age....signed, mixed emotions

If you grow up in a religious faith, you learn the circular arguments that allow everything to make sense within the faith.

For example, we are all sinners (Adam & Eve), God needs a sacrifice to atone for sin (Old Testament Judaism), Jesus comes as the ultimate sacrifice (New Testament Pauline Theology), Jesus will return and the dead will be raised as testimony to their new connection with God (various New Testament writers).

However, human experience often falls outside the framework of the faith. (For example, this fellow in the following 20-second video):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxaaIP-D0XI&feature=PlayList&p=7D6338FA4A19B4C3&index=0

Does your experience always confirm your faith, or have you found your faith challenged as experience outside of faith's structure shakes the foundation of your faith?

I am a Christian and lately I have been feeling like a total hypocrite. I have been attending church services on a regular basis, reading the Bible daily, praying multiple times per day, and witnessing to others about the greatness of God. I am trying to strengthen my relationship with God. However, I have been also having pre-marital sex, even though it clearly states in the Bible that, "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication;" (1 Thess. 4:3)

I have decided to talk to my boyfriend about abstaining from sex for the duration of our relationship but I am scared. I want to remain in the relationship because I have started to fall in love with him but I do not know if he is strong enough to remain in the relationship without sex. He is spiritual but not religious and thinks that the Christian faith is full of hypocrites. I no longer wish to be one of the hypocrites that he speaks of and continue to live in sin.
