A person also can't be all-good and all-powerful. For example, an all-powerful being can do evil. For example, he can kill and eat the weak just for the fun of it. An all-good being can't this because he can do something only if he can be motivated to do it and an all-good being can't be motivated to do such monstrous acts. Worse yet, given the importance that the theist assigns to free will--he needs it to account for evil--he has a problem in explaining why God has free will. A being that freely does good has the option of doing evil. However, since an all-good being can't do evil, he doesn't have that option, and lacks free will. Hence, an all-good being can't be all-powerful or have free will.

How many of you believe there is more to God than what we read in the Bible? Why does Christianity have to seem so limited. Everywhere I look, in the clouds, trees, earth, I want to see and learn about God. I want to know more about plants and medicine. I want to explore meditation with God. But everytime I talk about these things with other Christian, they question my faith.

I just want to expand on my faith. I don't want to miss out on anything that God has to show or teach me.

Do we have a real existence in another space, a space that is beyond our senses, that we can't observe? There must be realms of existence that are beyond the physical. If our lives are to have any ultimate meaning, then there must be some form of continued existence after death, and that existence would have to involve the reappearance of our consciousnesses, wouldn't you think so? Think outside the Bible on this question as there are many things we don't know about life and death.

Perhaps your answer will help them see how bad off they are and they will seek help and live a much more stable and peaceful life.

Is it true that, since Quran is a book written by God himself, it should not be translated into other languages, and that the believers should rather memorize it by heart?

It will be interesting to see whether this congressional probe concludes that McVeigh was financed and equipped by Muslims.

The question is, whether a politically correct, fat, weak, naive, ignorant, scared American public will have the nerve to finally deal with the root problem....ISLAM.

Aw but heck, it was just an entire FBI stronghold, I mean, its not like they attacked the Penatgon and World Trade Center or anything...wait...

For example usually you need to spend an hour to travel from place A to place B which are 100 km apart. However, by using a portal, you will reach place B in just a minute because place B is just located behind a portal found in place A.

And babies who die really young? Because they don't understand religion when they're really little, right? What about animals, since animals aren't religious? What about people who are atheists that really made a difference, like Marie Curie? I believe in God, but I'm really confused.

Then humans would come and go always believing in something that isn't there and it would be an eternal cycle of nothingness. Right?

I was watching the news today and they had a feature story about the Pope baptizing some babies. Am I the only one who see way to much Catholism on major news compared to other religions. Protestant and evangelicals have baby baptisms all the time. Yet the only time you get a story about a nonCatholic Christian is negative like the recent story of the idiot Pat Robenson saying that God told him American will get attacked in 2007.

I have nothing against Catholism but if the Pope is going to make the news everytime he drops a pen I would like to see what is going on in the world of other religions. What are hindus and buddhist upto lately. What have been Baptist leaders been upto lately. Whats going on with the top Atheist leaders.

I can only guess that media agency are getting side money from the Catholic church to give them constant exposure, though I love a good conspiracy theory.

I tried to do some research about Mohammad's life and the origins of Islam. There is not one single website I could find that had been written by someone skeptical of Islam.
What religion was he before he supposedly met Gabriel? Who wrote the hadiths? I wish there was a balanced way to learn all sides of the story.

The first commandment requires that no god other than Yahweh is to be worshipped. This is in open conflict with the "first freedom" in the U.S. and Canada -- religious freedom.

The second commandment, interpreted literally, punishes a man's children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great grandchildren if the man has sinned by serving other Gods. Spreading the responsibility for one person's sin onto innocent descendents (ie. innocent children) is widely considered a seriously immoral act.

The fifth commandment requires that children honor their parents., however it is universally considered unreasonable to expect a child to honor a parent who was a sexual molester, a physical abuser or was guilty of neglect.

There are two problems associated with the tenth commandment:
1) It treats women as pieces of property
2) It condones slavery. The terms "manservant" and "maidservant" in in the King James Version of the Bible refer to male and female slaves.

So how 'bout it?
