There is absolutely conscienceness after death and we do have existence in a space beyond our senses that we can't observe. You express it very elegantly. May I repeat the answer I gave you in your question on death overpowering life for the benefit of others reading this one?
Here is the proof of what you mention in your question.
1. Death does not exist.
Death is a relative word that means change. We always go from one dimension of existence into a higher form of existence. Or in a symbolic language from one world to a higher world. At each transition we have to change - die, in the ordinary language.
People who cease to have a physical existence continue to live but in a higher dimension, unknown to us for a very good reason.
This may sound too esoteric but it is simple and an example will clarify it.
When we were in the womb of our mother we were in another world. We were living in a physiological world. It was completely different from this physical world.
When we abandoned the womb world (died to the womb world) and were born into the physical world, we didn't "go" to any other place. We stayed in the same place. We came into a new and higher dimension of existence, the physical world.
Similarly when we abandon the physical world we continue our existence in a more evolved or higher dimension that is not physical but spiritual.
So the next world is not a "place" where we will be going to. It is here. But in another dimension unknown to us, just as the physical world was unknown to the fetus.
Death does not exist even in the physical sense because all the atoms of our body continue to exist in some other form.
2. The purpose of life
The purpose of the physiological world -the womb world- was to develop eyes, ears, lungs, feet, hands and brains that were of no use in that environment. Their necessity became apparent in the following world, this physical world.
The purpose of the physical world in which we live now, is to develop moral virtues and to put them to the service of mankind. The usefulness of the effort of polishing our character and acquiring moral virtues will become apparent in the other dimensions of life which are not material but spiritual.
Progress continues in all the worlds and is not limited to this physical world.
To conclude death has been wrongly interpreted during the infancy of humanity as non existence. There are many things in our modern world that we can not see or touch but in which we believe. Gravity, waves, etc.. are classical examples.

No there isn't a continuation of conscienceness. For one people's conscienceness is developed in the organ of the brain If you are to die no more conscience. If you were to actually go to some place with your brain or w/e you believe. It would be useless. All your thoughts and adaption were to earth. Unless this place has a very likeness to earth.
To go into a land of pleasure as in afterlife. All our pleasure is developed through human needs. When you are already dead their are no needs in fact there is no reason for existence after death. Pleasure is a thing defined by life. In death it is just as worthless.
The conscience is as valuable as animal skin. It will become out dated and useless to adaption without life. Our mind is just a tool to survive.
P.S. The person below me writes "the womb is another world" WTF? You might as well say target is a different world from walmart. Yeah there is transcendence from place to place without a dought but, that in no way answers the question at all.
I just called the conscience useless in another realm space whatever you want to label it by whatever rules it should follow besides the one's here. How will knowing fire burns, loved ones, the joy of eating chocolate prove useful at all in a realm where for one if you do not have senses care for it.
And for two help you survive in it? There is no benefit. We adapt to better serve that environment.
Our mind helps us define what our senses cannot. Even so if other dimensions exist we do not belong in them and surely will not go there after death. Maybe our dead body maybe the living body but, not the consciousness alone.
My theory still stands and I'm waiting for someone to address it.

In the completely scientificly explainable creation of the Universe, much energy was released that reverberates throughout the Universe to this day. This is science fact and can be seen on any static chennel on TV.
An energy field that is present in all places and all times. That, would be aware of the location, speed and acceleration of any object within it. That would efftively be able to predict every interaction of matter from the beginning to the end, from quarks to quazars.
I do not assume it to be the truth, but I would suggest that this might be completely scientificly explainable form of 'God'.
Just thinking..

Hi. During the French Revolution when many were put to death using the guillotine, there were many attempts to see if the severed head could respond in ANY way. Eye blinks, lip movements, etc.. In no case did a severed head show any response to external stimuli. My guess would be that dead is dead. (Spirituality aside.)

yes, life force is energy and energy cannot be destroyed. There is a plane of existance where the dead dwell. Some choose to remain here however for whatever reason, some have unfinished business and others are stuck here for other reasons.

There is no evidence for it. Don't know why so many people believe it. Wishful thinking I suppose.
They deprive themselves of the pleasures of life and the company of good people who don't share their beliefs, so maybe they're hoping to be happy in another life to offset the misery of this one.

I think our body returns to dust and we go on in a spirit form. It is up to you what you believe happens to the spirit form.
