There are many forms to prayer and many ways to pray. There is nothing wrong with praying to God, our Father or Mary or Jesus and the angels
Praying to Mary is a smart way because she is an intercessor on our behalf. She often goes to her son or the Father delivering our prayers and petitions.
When praying to the Holy Spirit usually we are asking for graces to help us with understandings or wisdoms or with the theological virtues that we try to adhere to our lives. We can pray this through Mary or Jesus but again it would be prudent to have Mary intercede for us. Our father and Jesus love her very much and they would listen to her in a different way.
Praying to the Saints is also prudent because they pray for us.
There are certain Saints that specialize in certain areas or functions like healing for the sick etc...
Praying to the angels or the Archangels is a very good idea because it gives them strength and encouragement to fight on our behalf to temptations and for protections to the wickedness and snares of the devil.
Also pray to your guardian angel for guidance
also pray to those souls in purgatory as they cannot pray for themselves but they do pray for us as well.
This is just a tip of the iceburg in the prayer life.

The Father , son, and Holy Spirit are one and the same God.
You ask Mary, the Saints, Angels and Arch Angels to pray for like you would anybody on Earth.
"Hail Mary Full of Grace pray for us sinners".
You are not praying to Mary. You are asking Mary to pray for you. They lead you to Jesus not away from him. I don't have a problem with Mary. God chose her from all Eternity to be is mother. If she's good enough for God, She's good enough for me.
If you prefer to pray directly to God thats fine to.

It definitely matters who you pray yo, You pray only to God, in the name of Jesus. Praying to anyone else, Mary, angels or the saints would be a blasphemy.

We should pray to God (The Father) in the name of Jesus Christ and by the power of The Holy Spirit.
Jesus said we should pray directly to God:-
John 16:23-24 "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete."

First, don't bother praying to somebody that's not real -- like Thor or Neptune, say.
Other than that, you need to recognize that there's a difference in importance between God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and his creatures (saints and angels).
Ultimately, all good gifts come from God, so it's good to pray to God for the good things we need. And from one point of view, that can be enough.
On the other hand, God likes to get his creatures involved in helping each other; so He likes it when we ask someone else (our guardian angel, or a saint, or someone here on earth) to pray to Him for us.
So if there's some saint you like, feel free to ask him or her to pray for you, in addition to your own direct prayer.

There are 3 strategies you will get confident that the heaven is crammed with saints suited now, because of the fact not the rest i might desire to declare right here might convince you i've got self assurance. the 1st way is once you die and visit heaven, then you fairly will locate out. the 2d way is by technique of the potential of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost can convince you and open your eyes and ideas to comprehend the Bible extra effective. The third way is that if Jesus Himself looks to you, like he did to Saul, and make you fall out of your horse and then heal you out of your non secular blindness. purely then you fairly might have the skill to work out and comprehend issues the main suitable way. I pray a lot for the 2d and third opportunities to take place to you. I pray particularly for the third one to take place, so which you will not purely have self assurance in that, yet in addition grow to be like Paul and rather of persecuting "now the Catholics" you grow to be certainly one of them and help unfold all actuality that we've self assurance, in specific: The Holy Eucharist, it fairly is the middle of our faith. I additionally pray for all the different people who wrote right here and that accept as true with you. I pray for everybody of them for the comparable element to take place. Amen.
