Saint Mary Magdalene was the first witness to the resurrection of Jesus. (See the 20th Chapter of the Gospel of John).
She was one of Jesus' followers during his ministry, and was present at the cross when he died.
There is some debate on whether she is the woman in Luke 7 who was a notorious sinner. Most biblical scholars believe that Mary Magdalene was not the notorious sinner.
The 8th chapter of the Gospel of Luke describes Mary Magdalene as being healed and supporting Jesus' ministry out of her means.
With love in Christ.

I don't think she was married to Jesus and I don't think she was a whore. I think there were many women who followed Jesus. I think that Mary Magdalene was a great leader amongst the women. We just don't hear much about the women of the Bible at all.

Married to Jesus? Maybe and maybe not. We really can't definitively prove that either way, so it's just a big maybe.
A whore? Definitely not! Mary Magdalene was without a doubt one of the earliest followers of Jesus, and is of no relation to the nameless sinner whose story is often attached to her.

Mary was not married to Jesus. She was a prostitute, and his affiliation with her was obviously recorded to show us that we are to love all of our neighbors- even the dirty, stinky, tax collectors, lepers, and government officials.
Today, I met a slight woman at the Home depot. It was reminiscent of the woman at the well. She was homeless, getting a cup of coffee, and she said she needed to get out of there. I could tell she had been kicked out before, so I asked her what kind of work she liked to do. She said she just wanted to clean up houses after the construction trades were through, and have a steady job. She was single, just recovering from a brown recluse spider bite that ate much of her left foot.
I felt sorry for her, and asked her if she would just walk into the store with me, and find a sink for my next job. I got her story, and gave her the names of three local agencies that might be able to help her, and ten dollars for dinner tonight.
I felt really good about this interchange, but it left me wanting to do so much more for her.
I got her number where she can be reached, and I intend to continue trying to help her in some meaningful, sustainable way.
If you pray, please help me pray for this woman. I can't tell you her name, for privacy reasons, but God knows who she is!

Who ever said she was a whore?? Certainly not Holy Scripture. And Holy Tradition refers to her only as "St. Mary Magdalene, Penitent"

It would only make sense that Jesus was married. It was rare for 1st century jewish males to not be married. Since Jesus was a man, the church had to make mary a whore to "protect" Jesus's divinity.

This is an easy one actually...........
In an age where most people had a last name equating to their occupation, Mary had a separate name entirely.
To any historian, this is the perfect sign that she was royalty.
Also, since Jesus was an Essene Jew..... he had to have two things by age 30 or they would have tossed him out for good.
A wife and kids.......
So it is rather hard to accept that Jesus was an Essene Jew if he did not have these two things....
And Jesus WAS an Essene Jew........ that has been confirmed....
