no. the thing about retired priests sometimes filling in is true. but as far as part time, generally there aren't any, but I guess that would be up to each Bishop? I'd go to my diocese and ask around if I were you.

I am not trying to insult anyone but this question does kind of conjur up funy images in my mind. Part time Catholic priest and part time Hindu Guru or part time escort. Or part time atheist. . or from the Movie west side story changing the word jet. When your a priest your a priest from your first cigarette to your last dying breath. Just kidding folks, So don't get yourselves in a froth. My brother when he was a kid wanted to be a priest and an astronaut. he wanted to be the first priest on the moon.

If you are a Priest, then you are a Priest! You can work par-time hours - but you are a priest full time! It is like syaing tha tyou believe in God Part-time.

LOLOLOLOL....uhhh no. You are the image of Christ and you take a vow of poverty. According to the Church (note the "C") you can't do that part time...but good try.
I wanted to be a nun when I was a kid. Now THAT is good for a big belly laugh. I might've done it if I could do it part time.
