No, Hes waiting until we all "get" his message(the gospel) and teach the whole world, so that ALL may have the chance to accept Him. When this is done, He will return.
With God one day is a thousand years, and a thousand years are one day." it has been only a very short 2 days since the time of Christ's prophecies and that would certainly count as "soon" or "at hand".
2Peter 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

God has created a lot of things that he should be ashamed of. We cannot change the fact that He knowingly called pedophiles to religious life and never intervened to stop them. If God were mortal He would be in jail.

No, although he may be hurt knowing many of us are so confused and lost, even though he is patient, and does hint and communicate to all of us, not to infringe, but hope that we see through his eyes that he is real, he is there, and that we seek, find and worship him, glorifying his name.
God is not scared of us, perhaps, only for our eternity choice.

i have never thought of this before. interesting concept...i think he has everything already planned out, so no, i dont think he is afraid. hes more powerful than anything else in all of existence.
