It is a reference that states something so it is an answer. Just not a well written one.

depends on the question, if the question was asking or needed reference ot Luke 6, then no, that would constitute as a good asnwer, however if it was like a political question and you left Luke 6 as a answer that was tottaly off base from the question, then yes. however i think yahoo, and reporting is way out of control on here

more than likely, if it was a spiritual question, somebody that disagreed with you just wanted to get you off the question

Luke 6 Huh! They typed all 49 verses.

Yes, I guess we had better read that question 'cause it's a big one.

If the scripture verse is relative to the question asked, I think it would be an answer.

However if the scripture verse has no relation to the question asked, I think it is a violation.

No. It is a clear Bible reference. A reference from the Bible constitutes an answer.

Nope.

1Ki 10:1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.

Depends on the question.

Edit:

In this case, 'Romans 10' is not relevant to the question, but it's still an answer.

I answered this question, and quoting any biblical verse will not clarify your disbelief.

When you stop asking answers, you may learn something that you didn't know before. We all can learn something if we ask, but operative word is "ask".

I would say so. Unless someone was directly asking about a scripture reference.
