If it's 'glory', isn't He then comparable to a nine year old showing off in front of his pals?

if he believed in god, just didn't agree with the philosophy of the bilbe...and believed in satan and agreed with that philosophy? be careful with your answer, you may be judging yourself.

That is, with 1 being "about as credible as a four-month-old baby on methamphetamines" and 10 being "about as credible as a teenage boy who says he's not doing anything after you knocked on his door and clearly heard him masturbating"...

Thank you for your responses.

PLEASE DON'T ANSWER MY QUESTION IF YOU DO NOT READ ALL OF THIS CAREFULLY.

In trying to understand the pro-life position, I've asked and answered many questions:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjG6hbayvgT5B3C8wNZzxObsy6IX?qid=20070105194631AAuyCZi

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjmC6kg9_GL1RLo8KIrz8jbsy6IX?qid=20070106081923AAaQssO

The only consistent/logical answer I've ever seen from the pro-lifers is that the fertilized egg is a "potential" person. But of course "potentiality" does not equal "actuality;" And they do propose taking away the rights of actual persons.

I must conclude now that the only reason to take a pro-life stance stems from a belief in the soul, and when it enters the body.

MY QUESTION: Why would an abortion be bad even if the embryo did have a soul? I mean if embryos are aborted, wouldn't God know just what to do with the souls? (send them to heaven, or into other embryos waiting to be born).

I am not saying that some people are better than others, and some will think I am, but I am simply asking a question, and please don't patronize me on what I personally believe. How come people like atheist or another religion need scientific proof for everything. As we all know, math, science, or logic CANNOT explain everything, phenomons, miracles, the totally unexplainable. Are some people born with a lack of faith, hope, and optimism or are they just molded on what they have grown up to believe by thier enviornment, mainly parents? People will go down my throats about how I am wrong, but please do not, just answer with your beliefs kindly. It is deeply depressing ( TO ME) to think that everything about the work is mathamartically configured and nothign happes without scientific proof. What happened to believeing in somehting, having faith, having hope that one day you will go to Heaven and be explained all the questions unanswered about the world. Somethings willalways be unaswered

Why does the Bible oppose homosexuality?
I am straight, but never CHOSE my sexuality and gay people whom I know have told me that they don't either. So, one must assume we are 'given' our sexualities by some other source. So, from a Christian standpoint, why does God disapprove of the people he created?
p.s. A Bible quote isn't an explanation.

IF you do not believe in GOD, then where did we come from then?
If you believe in evolution, where did the BIG bang come from?
If we did evolve from monkeys our brains would never become so advanced, just look around you, god is everywhere. In the rainbow,in the sky. How could you not believe in someone who loves you so? Who sent his son to die for you? How?

Evolution does not imply atheism. There are many people who believe in God and accept evolution as a valid explanation of human origins.

I heard this scenario on NPR:

The Christian friend of an atheist was dying.

Weeping, the dying woman asked her atheist friend to please return to Christianity so that she could die knowing her close friend would not be sent to hell. (I know this sounds manipulative, but it seems the woman strongly held this belief and was sincere.)

The atheist woman tried to be reassuring without ridiculing her friend's beliefs. However, she would not say she believed something she did not.

How would you handle a similar scenario?

As a follow up to an earlier question I posted about my girlfriend's parents, I'm curious as to why Catholics dislike atheists so much. Isn't there something about loving your fellow man in that religion, or was it just fellow Catholics? Maybe I've just met some nasty people in my time, but many Catholics whom I have met do not think too highly of me.

As many of you all know, math is a science and I've been in my lab this week all day long studying how God can be proven through the equation x+y+z=2 for all real numbers.

Now let's say that x+y+z=2 for all reals except for imaginary real numbers.

Now,

x+y = z -2

2x+2y = 2(z-2)

2x+2y = 2z-4

2xyz(x+y+z) = 0

x+y+z = 0

x+y +45z = z+ x -y

y = -y

1=-1

((1=-1)x + (1=-1)y + (1=-1)z = 2)/0

x = -x + y = -y +z = -z = 2

(x = -x + 9y = -y +z = -z = 2)/34

(x+yx = -x + y = -y +z +z)/34 - 2 = 0

x = 1
x= 2
y = 3
r = f(x) +x+9
z = 0

2+4+6-9 = 2

0=0
0=1

Therefore, God exists.

How come when christians pose their little "good samaritan" questions to atheists, the majority of atheists feel it is necessary to answer in ways satisfying to christians?

I think I have missed the train to netherland. Anyone care to elaborate?
