In reading answers and searching out further information, I have come across a few labels that I find confusing in some respects. I still don't completely understand how a Messianic Jew differs from a Christian, and to me Satanism sounds very much like humanism.

Are you ever confused by what people label themselves?

Are people ever confused by what you label yourself?

Is it necessary to label our faith at all -- do we need it in order to group ourselves, or does it cause more, and increasingly minute schisms within each belief system?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Everytime I put an Evolution sticker on my car someone either Scratches it off or...they key my car. Someone even Keyed "God loves you"!! I know its not the Atheists. Has this every happend to anyone else? and Why do people have to act so stupid! I never would even think of doing that to a person who had a "honk if you love Jesus" sticker. Why are they so afraid of someone showing that they support evolution? also please Christians spare us the "well not all Christians act that way"

I was watching a show on TV that talked about all the Christian missions and food pantries and such; the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, the Star of Hope missions for the poor, etc.

So I started wondering if perhaps the show was being one-sided in not mentioning all the other non-religious missions-type places. And that just wouldn't be fair, after all, anyone who helps the poor and destitute deserves a mention!

I looked in the phone book, looked online for local places, nothing! I went through the dozens of places just here in my city, and all of them were religiously affiliated.

IF I were an atheist who was on the down-and-out and needed help, where would I turn for help? Is there some major organization I'm not aware of?

Do any of these organizations ever submit to an internal financial audit, let alone an external one? I would never give my money to a 'charity' that is not audited or subject to stringent guidelines about the use of the funds.

So where exactly does the money go? I am curious...

And this article is straight from the horses mouth:

We know Christians follow Jesus commands to love God and to love their fellowman. I know this would be nice if it was followed, but what do Atheist follow? Is there some kind of rules or moral standards?
