It takes more than Wikipedia, much of evolution is tricky to understand, kin selection and so on, some people just won't be able to understand it, as with quantum theory, they really are not clever enough.

Most people believe Evolution says we came from monkeys, is about the origin of life, is a random process and is just a theory. All misconceptions - so yeah... most haven't been taught. No one in school taught ME. I had to teach myself from reliable sites and books. Often times the latter too - just don't WANT to believe because (another half-misconception) they believe it'll threaten their faith in whatever theistic religion they may believe in (typically Christianity).

I know about Evolution. I know it's both a fact and a theory. The theory being the how and why supporting Evolution the fact - the "what's happened". I know monkeys/apes are our cousins and that we share a common ancestor from several million years ago. I know Evolution by Natural Selection is BOUND to happen; indeed, it is not a random process. I know abiogenesis is the origin of life - Evolution is the origin of species... it is what FOLLOWS abiogenesis, etc. I know the basics of it.

Because evolution is a theory. A theory is just that, a theory. It has never been proven with hardcore evidence. Therefore it should not be in the scholastic curriculum. Since it is in the cirriculum then intelligent design should also be in the curriculum as well.

There is no proof or links that show animals actually evolving into another animal....where are the missing links in the chain?

Some people don't accept evolution because they prefer to follow their faith. That's fine. It's when they want to teach their religion in schools that I get concerned.

While there is some good evidence for natural selection, no one has yet come up with any real data or evidence that even suggests that the theory of evolution may be true. It remains an interesting but unproven idea.

They still can`t get past the fact that there are still monkeys and apes, if man evolved from them .
They also want to see a fossil of the first human evolved .They want to see D.n.a connection with man and ape .
give that to them and maybe they`ll shut Up.

It basically comes down to faith.

Science is based on observation and experimentation. Faith needs no rational basis, only a willingness to believe.

No, its because the fictional bigot book--I mean bible--says the world was poofed into existence in six days, all the pretty little animals went bambi style onto a big boat without eating each other, and God created a perfect little world and perfect little people except for one apple that might as well had a big EAT ME sign, etc.

It takes alot of faith to believe in evolution. I have to have proof before I believe in something. I believe in God.
