What do you mean why do Christians GET their own genre? No one GETS a genre... there is music for everyone out there. Music that is classified at Christian is music that is celebrating Jesus. Otherwise it's just music. Is your question perhaps more about why other religions do not have genres of music, or why their genres aren't as popular? That has nothing to do with Christians and the music they create. If you want music that celebrates your faith, go out and make it.

Because of the topics in which christian singers present their music.
They sing about Jesus and God and good positive subject dealing with worship and solving problems by turning to the Lord.
The music might have an R&B or Soul or Pop or Rock n Roll kind of sound to it, but it's all about what the lyrics have to say.
That's what sets christian music apart.

Supply and demand. If there's a market for something, someone's going to make it. And besides there are plenty of people out there who choose music to share their faith. Why do you even care anyway? If you don't like Christian music, why listen to it? Just ignore it.

Because, religion 'SELLS'-!
There is no market that 'they' will not exploit in their MAD rush for MONEY and POWER over others lives/minds/pocketbooks.
(their TRUE 'god/s') IMO
It's an extension of the same-old 'power-trip/RUSH' that they get from mentally-abusing small-children with talk of Eternal-Torment...etc....If they don't 'think just-like' they're TOLD to think.
It's an absolutely pathological mindset, with no basis in reality, nor does it come anywhere near to being 'rational'.

Mainly because Christians do not want to be exposed to cursing and other bad language. And they want to support artists that are Christian. They decide where they want there money to go. And they would rather support those that believe in God and sing his praises.
