That is, with 1 being "about as credible as a four-month-old baby on methamphetamines" and 10 being "about as credible as a teenage boy who says he's not doing anything after you knocked on his door and clearly heard him masturbating"...

Thank you for your responses.

The Holy Spirit moving in the men so that they wrote the books of the Bible is the most credible source that there could possibly be. The Bible is the most credible book ever written.

The Bible is more accurate and credible in it's translation and its content than all of writings in antiquity.

Historical credibility? I'd give it an 6 or a 7.

This is one of those great questions. I would say about a 3. I am open-minded but to walk on water or part the Red Sea. Or live to 900 yrs old?

Interesting scale you gave...

As an atheist, I'd say that some of it is quite credible (city names, names of tribes, ect.).

But much (most) of it is about a 1

Very poor indeed (I love your scale. I'm still trying to figure out which is worse! :D)

Just a few of my favorite non-historical excerpts include:

* People living to be 700 years old
* Worldwide flood
* Entire Book of Esther
* Pyramids built by slaves rather than by paid laborers (or as I like to call it, That-Make-Believe-Exodus-Story)
