I am someone who belives strongly in justifying my actions with logic, and I refuse to be lead by blind faith. However, I want to be Christian but I cannot because my principles do not allow me. I feel like theres too much evidence and I think that Darwin makes much more sense than Genesis. Could someone please explain how I could become christian without comprimising my beliefs?

Okay. I know. It's a terribly deep question and just answering it fullly would grind your fingers to nubs. Sorry. But here's my problem...

Christianity, from the outside, is a very small and narrow world. You believe in Christ, go to church, read the Bible and *poof* you're a Christian. But once you are inside Christianity it's a whole lot bigger. There's hundreds and thousands of churches and denominations and they all see the Christian life differently. I'm a little lost. Is being Christian sacramental like Catholics and Orthodox? Is it liturgical? What about morality? Please paint me a picture of the Christian life with your words.

Now, before I say anything, I tend to think that this was mainly just Paul's opinion. I may someday be forced to admit myself wrong. But that's beside the point.

Anyway, I have heard some people, mostly women actually, say that they feel that wives got the easier task. Do any of you, male and female alike, feel that this is so?

Here is the scripture:

22Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26to make her holy, cleansing[b] her by the washing with water through the word, 27and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. Just a question for everyone:
Why do you feel that you need to become offended by a statment, or make an offensive statement, in order to prove that any one religion is the true way?
For instance, I have been told by several people that my religion is wrong (I 'm Christian, but believe in a rather odd mix of several religions), even though THEIR religions MAIN CONCEPT is to treat others with kindness!!

Ok, there's my rant, what about yall?

I was scanning the AP wire at work this morning and read the story. It made me very uneasy, though I do understand what the parents are dealing with. I'm not sure this is exactly the correct forum, but I am curious about your thoughts.

Be it Christian or Muslim I find that religious people are so afraid of logic that they refuse to remove bias on issues. Bias could include beliefs because something "Feels right". Feelings are often mislead and are a very clouded form of judgment. When we use emotions to make our decisions we are far more often wrong than we are right.

Second mistake made is belief by desire. You want there to be a God, so therefore there must be one. I’ve had people asking me what life would be without a God. My response is “you may already know, but not realize it.” It’s probably one of the most clouded reasoning that affects a great deal of people. We have to come to grips with the possibility that the universe isn’t what we want it to be.

Sometimes you have to sit back and take it in, knowing in the back of your mind you're the real deal.

Example, I knew I was a better baseball player than another guy, but a kid assumed he was better and kept saying how much better the other guy was. I could've gotten angry and said 'no, im much better, here is why' and gotten jealous. But instead I sat back and ignored it, who cares, 'I' know the truth which is all that matters, who really cares if some kid thinks someone else is better. Good for him and the other guy, perhaps he can feel better about himself.

If, I, a mere human being can take not being the 'only and best' when it comes to a situation where I would be, why can't an omniscent perfect all-loving God?

This church would have awesome music, laughter through skits and videos, etc. Also, the church would have multiple preachers preaching multiple practical sermons at the same time. Just like a multplex theater shows movies at the same time.

Man made religions...i hope there is no doubts about that.Every religion was made for the betterment of mankaind in different parts of the world. Now religion has become a very powerul political tool. The powerful ( Political + Religious) Leaders mislead us and guide us to war. Its time we react or atleast think before we act. We need a new religion - a global one- that can save the world from the war of the gods.

So let us network on this great platform ( Internet) and kill no man ...but kill all religions....make no boundries ..but break them all........lets do somthing so that our generations to come can live a peaceful life ...on this mother Earth.
