I am someone who belives strongly in justifying my actions with logic, and I refuse to be lead by blind faith. However, I want to be Christian but I cannot because my principles do not allow me. I feel like theres too much evidence and I think that Darwin makes much more sense than Genesis. Could someone please explain how I could become christian without comprimising my beliefs?

By realizing that the bible was never intended to be taken literally.

It is a metaphoric rendering of spiritual realities that can not readily be defined with words that were created to describe and define a physical reality.

Then you sincerely ask that God help you to justify belief in Him.

Sincerity is the key. You can't fool something that has known your every thought for eternity.

I did exactly this and my wish was granted.

Love and blessings Don

Not all Christians believe exactly the same thing. It's entirely possible to be a Christian without taking Genesis literally. It's great that you're interested in becoming a Christian, and I suggest you pursue it. Visit different kinds of churches, talk to different church leaders, and they'll probably be able to help you even more. If you head into this experience with an open mind, I'd say you're very likely to find a church that you fit into. Good luck!

Darwinian evolution and Christianity are not mutually exclusive. You might be interested in the world of John Polkinghorne who is an Anglican priest, yet teaches theoretical physics at Cambridge.

If you are more inclined towards higher math, you might be interested in the world of logician Kurt Godel. He was friends with Einstein, yet remained a full theist. He has a modal ontological argument for God written in symbolic logic that was never published until after his death. You might be familiar with is now famous incompleteness theorems.

Feel free to email me if you want to discuss anything. And by the way, most Catholics, Anglicans, and Episcopalians accept evolution. There are even statements from the Vatican inferring it's truth.

You cannot and should not. The first 2 chapters of Genesis cannot even be reconciled with each other, much less science. But you can become more spiritual by realizing that math itself implies a mental nature to the world. Too much to explain here.

Logic, however, cannot be used to justify anything. It is a formal tool that can only give you what is implicit in the premises you proceed from. Experience precedes logic in most cases.

You probably will not be able to embrace Christianity.

I would suggest you consider deism, if you really want to accept the possibility of a god. After all, deism does not require physical evidence of a god, so logical people can still follow it.

I would suggest Pascal's Wager, but that is so full of holes that I'm ashamed that Pascal even thought it up. But take a look at the wager and see if that does anything for you. If you feel you have to take a gamble, then you might as well pick your god and roll the dice.

A) If all atheists are agnostics, then Atheists = 0 B) If atheism is a faith, then style of followers = 0 C) faith demands followers. as a result, atheism can not be a faith. end: considering the fact that there could be no faith with out followers, then there is exactly no longer something for godsters to rigidity approximately. end expressed as an equation: No followers = No faith = No issue

Yes.
Life came out of an un-sterile contaminated primordial ooze all by itself. It takes alot more faith to believe that, than it does to believe an all powerful, all knowing, loving creator breathed life into a being He created.
