Just a question for everyone:
Why do you feel that you need to become offended by a statment, or make an offensive statement, in order to prove that any one religion is the true way?
For instance, I have been told by several people that my religion is wrong (I 'm Christian, but believe in a rather odd mix of several religions), even though THEIR religions MAIN CONCEPT is to treat others with kindness!!

Ok, there's my rant, what about yall?

Goes back to that old saying, "never speak of religion and politics". Everyone else is right and you are wrong, or offensive.

Not "you", in the literal sense, but "one".

I am a Muslim and living in this age when islamophobia brews everywhere, you cant beat me up to it - I am told that Islam is violent countless times but I always manage to counter and defend the honour of my religion. So, get over it already. If you're told that your religion is not the true religion, rather than complaining about it, you should investigate whether such accusation is unfounded or not.

God knows best.

Peace and Love.

You're here, so... are you speaking of yourself?
I am a Christian, but I decided a long time ago not to be offended by other people's beliefs or attitudes. Actually my admiration for the Messiah is such that I feel that anyone who denigrates our faith really does not understand it. That's why it's so important to read the Bible and understand what it says. Here's a small example.

'Can a blind man lead a blind man? Won't they both fall into a pit? A disciple is not above his rabbi; but each one, when he is fully trained, will be like his rabbi. So why do you see the splinter in your brother's eye but ignore the stick in your own? How can you say to your brother, 'let me remove the splinter from your eye,' when you yourself don't see the stick in your own eye..?'

I do my best not to say anything offensive on this forum, ESPECIALLY in terms of a group of people. Any group. What good does it do to insult someone else?

I guess that some people like to stir up trouble and love to instigate wars of words and since religion is such a hot-button issue, this is the perfect place for them to get their kicks.

I can't answer why people feel the need to offend others while their faith says to love all...it doesn't make sense to me either.
Religion is one topic that can always be debated, argued, whatever. Everyone is going to have a different opinion and feel the need to preach why they are right. It's just the way it is. It makes life always interesting and the world open for learning, I say.

Well I'm a Christian but in the eyes of many I'm not a "real" one because I don't care what anyone says I'm straight but my best friend is gay & he is not a sinner. He is a wonderful God sent human being who I love dearly & accept fully so if I'm not Christian enough oh well. I still believe in God & Jesus as my saviour but I would not want to go to a place that some Christians say won't accept him

I am a Christian too and I could care less what everyone opinion of my religion is. Why do you even care? If you know it's right, then believe and witness. If you are met with rejection, remember that they're not rejecting you, they're rejecting Christ, pray for them and move on.

With all due respect, if "your religion is wrong!" is your idea of offensive, then an open forum where all religions are free to be debated probably isn't for you.

Develop a thick skin for this forum. It's unfortunate that self-righteous ******* have to rear their ugly Contradictory heads, especially if they're suppose to be Christian themselves. Sad, isn't it?

Most people do not think clearly enough to grasp the insosistencies in their own beliefs (which, hopefully, they have some education in), yet feel perfectly fine attacking beliefs they have no knowledge of.
