You'd think an all-loving perfect God could've figured out another way to forgive sin and grant eternal life besides sending his 'son' down to get crucified and tortured.

Maybe God could've snapped his fingers and 'made it so' like everything else, why have this barbaric and cruel alternative?

We know that Adam and Eve were punished for eating the forbidden fruit. As a woman, I know how we were punished, but what I don't understand is how were men punished? What do men have to deal with a result of Adam's actions?

Aren't those all traits that an omniscent perfect God would have no reason to have since God would know jealousy and anger are easily resolved by finding a solution through understanding and patience versus angry reaction that cause more harm than good?

...you may want to think against it.

To Adam he said, "Because you LISTENED TO YOUR WIFE and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,'
"Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat of it
all the days of your life.

18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.

19 By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return."

That's what got old Adam in trouble.

Food for thought.

I am talking about all the beliefs in no God/Gods and all the beliefs in God/Gods merging together. The thing that makes everything possible to exist, yet without it nothing would exist. The thing that can never die, yet never live. The thing that is unspeakable, unthinkable, untouchable, unimaginable. The belief that brings the Bible, Koran, etc. to the point of being historical books of enlightenment. The belief that brings renown people in those books to the point of demi-gods.

If all beliefs are brought to the same goal/conclusion, then is Unified Religion possible? Explain your answer thoroughly and honestly. I will be putting this up for voting.

quote that compares God and evil to the physics of heat and cold or light and darkness? (As in evil is the absence of God; cold is the absence of heat; and darkness is the absence of light). Something about that comparison just sounds wrong, but I can't quite put my finger on it. (I did not do too well in physics-related classes. Physical science was my worst grade in college. I find it interesting, but have a mental block for some reason)

Imagine you are Jesus. You see humanity condemning themselves to destruction through their sins, and deeply concerned by this, you come down to Earth and make the ultimate sacrifice in order to save them from eternal punishment.

Why would you then say, "Well I died for you, but I will only save you if you BELIEVE that I did! And not only that, you must reject ALL your worldly desires and give me EVERYTHING! Otherwise, you will be cut off - FOREVER - with everlasting agony and unbearable pain"

Does that make sense? According to the Bible this is the only way to get to Heaven. Not only must you believe, but you must give up everything.

OK... in that case I would predict that 95% of the entire human race are going to hell, because people sure ain't doing that from what I've seen.

If Jesus loves us so much why would it matter what we believe? Is there no forgiveness after death? Ever?

This is depressing me no end and frankly I am close to the point of insanity. Please can anyone help?

I was recently listening to a song by Casting Crowns called "What if His People Prayed?" and it really made me think. I pray, but not enough. And I though, what if every Christian prayed as they were supposed to? Would the world change? Would we see more souls saved for Christ? What things would you see happening if God's people prayed for lost souls or more for their families and churches?
