What I find most beautiful about my belief system (Reincarnation) is that life really does make sense in a very fair, beautiful and flawlessly perfect way, and all of us are on a wondrous journey toward spiritual enlightenment, with so much to learn and share with each other -- and nothing -- NOTHING to fear.

The Hindus have lots of Gods, not everyone worships every God. The various Pagan belief systems had many Gods and not everyone worshiped every God. The Ancient Egyptians believed in multiple Gods and people did not worship all of them. It is only the recent coming of the monotheistic religions that has caused the problem with people fiercely refusing to accept that other people may worship a different God and be just as correct as they are themselves and not be dammed to the eternal fires.
I do not believe in any God, but I do think that a modern incarnation of the Pantheon would be a good idea.
The one aspect of my belief that I would like to see adopted would be absolute tolerance and respect of other belief systems.

I used to go to a Unitarian Universalists church, and it was amazing! I don't know if they are all like this but this one had different music every week, one week harp, next a rock band, next southern gospel, ect.
They also had different speakers form various religions come and speak about universal experiences form all religions, everyone was invited to speak up, and say what they thought , I learned a lot, and felt very comfortable!

well, there are a lot of things that are similar amongst all relations. mostly it pertains to how to be a good person...i know christianity has the bible...dunno about other religions but i DO kno most religions are founded on being/becoming a good person. if anyone in any religion should learn one thing from their faith, it should be the part about geing a good person.

You cannot unite religion. Religion is divided by definition. "My God's better than you god . . . etc." Spirituality unites people. That aspect of my own belief would benefit people.

Going against your own rules . . .
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6). As that logically excludes ALL others, there is nothing in my "religion" that would accommodate any other religion. Christians worship Jesus as both Savior and God, two roles none other can fill. Thus, "if there was to be only one religion" is an empty question. There will never be "only one religion" because Christians will always be pesky by refusing to compromise. Sorry. You may start persecuting us now.

The basic premise that it's all about love. We were put here to love each other. And, in every situation was has the choice to either add love and stir things up, or take love away and stir things down. That's what I believe.

if there was only one religion they`d probably transform the world into communist Russia... if you don`t agree with them then they`d probably kill you or put you in prison..i strongly believe that religion is and should stay a personal thing, not a public mass controlling institution

Good question.
I would have to say, in this life, everyone is running around with their head cut off. No one knows the ACTUAL truth and so they split from different religions to define WHY we are here, WHO we are, and WHAT our purpose to life actually is.
If I had a religion of choice, I would say, to believe in the world around me. It can be defined as Paganism, but really, your here, you exist, your alive and what you choose to do with your life, is why your here. So, that explains all.

Although pluralism is widely fancied as the way forward by some, I don't think it'd work
it is the nature of each religion to hold fast to its individual ideologies that makes it so strong
