'You don't believe in MY God, you're going to hell!'
'You're different, you're going to hell!'
'I don't like you, you're going to hell!'

It's the adult equivalent of 'I'm telling my mummy on you' and no more mature...

If God loves us so much then why does he send us to Hell and not let us into Heaven if we have made mistakes in our lives that he thinks is a "sin". My friend asked me this question and I wanted to see what you guys think.

Does the Christian faith condemn non-believers to hell. If I grew up in some remote region on this planet without the awareness of religion or even the knowledge of the existence of Jesus Christ but still live my life as if I were the Pope himself...would I gain access to heaven?

I know they're not evangelicals. But how is their worldview different from, say, a Baptist's? Is the Orthodox worldview even Biblical?

Adopt-a-Cow

To combat the slaughter of millions of cows each year, dedicated Hindus in the United States are being asked to join the Adopt-a-Cow cow-protection program, reports India Observer. A Hare Krishna farm community in Pennsylvania has been selected as the site for the pilot program. This will provide the way “for all Hindus to show their commitment to one of the basic pious religious principles, cow protection.” Three plans—$30 a month, $100 a month, and a one-time donation of $3,000 or more that will protect the cow for her whole life—are being offered. Participants get a color photograph of their adopted cow, reports of the cow’s progress, and a free weekend at the farm community to visit their “go-mata,” or sacred mother. Hindus revere “the cow as the mother of human society, because she provides one of nature’s most nourishing foods,” says the Observer.

I saw a question where someone wanted to know how Atheists live without a purpose, which implies that God is the only purpose in life. What do you think?

I mean, aids, tuberculosis and malaria wipe out millions of africans each year, so wouldn't it be more humane and much better for the environment if they could be prevented from being born at all?

I think that Yahoo should give Christians their own catagory so they a preach to those who want to listen and make a Pagan catagory for the rest of us. Well mabe a catagory for the Islam too. That way if a Christian wanders into Pagan teritory with his soapbox he or she could be reported for causing trouble. Frankly, I'm just a little tired of being preached at by people who are too chicken to turn their e-mail on so we can respond. The only way I have found to communicate is to wait until they ask a question then preach to them on good behavior.

I have always wondered about liberals who are so very accepting of other cultures and religions, but who slam Evangelical Christians at every opportunity. Why? If you respect one group, you should have respect for all groups!

I admit that there are some corrupt televangelists, etc., but there are corrupt folks in every group. I am just so tired of having to keep quiet about my religious beliefs among liberals whether in the classroom, or in the work place, or whatever.

I really wonder about this.

If apparently Jesus was God, and man was made in his form, would that not mean everyone of his skin colour is superior to everyone else? Isn't that just evil? I don't believe Jesus was God or son of God, Jesus was a prophet. That makes more sense to me, especially since he did not once say that he is the son of God, or God.

Okay, the first story about Jesus is his birth, and in the story he was recognized as the Savior. Now, Jesus doesn't come back into the bible until he is in his thirties, my question is, what was Jesus doing all those years inbetween and why werent they recorded if he was already known as the savior, and when he did start his preaching why did nobody know who he was if his birth had already been a miraculous event? Why was it such a surprise?

Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, and Oklahoma have divorce rates of about twice the national average. If religion leads to strong marriages, why do these notoriously pious states have such high divorce rates?
