Ecclesiastes 3
9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

Yes, the One True God is the only and sublime purpose of all mankind.
The One True God is our Creator and Sustainer, Who sends His Divine Messengers to teach us about our glorious destiny of the rational beings who can live together in love, unity and peace.
Each man can deny God and choose for himself a so-called ideal purpose, but usually his purpose is contradictory to others'. That is why we have continuous wars in a world which denies the One True God or worships imaginary gods.

Seek first the Kingdom of God and all else will be added unto you...
yes, Atheists basically have no purpose, they are only here in order to show the huge I.Q. gap between academia and anyone with a simple thought and a pulse. ( I do hope that I did not type to long and an atheist forgot to breath in and breath out... I may, accidentally, be responsible for someones death...)

When man was created by God he had a wonderful future for mankind. Unfortunatly Satan interviened in the Garden and threw a monkey wrench into God's plan. But God's purposes never fail. He made provisions right there in the Garden to restore a paradise on the earth in the NEAR future for mankind who follows his will. Few know the Bible in it's pure form without all of the man-made traditons. The Bible in Mathew says Broadand spacious is the road leading into destruction and many are the ones finding it ,whereas narrow and cramped is the road leading to everlasting life{on earth.} And few are the ones finding it.

Saw that question too, and as I said there, living your life only to amuse some supposed "higher" being is a very poor purpose in life when you think about it.

They probably meant to say, that God holds all the answers, and purposes of life. It is kind of like a manual, road map. It helps us see the past, to learn from, and the future, to see where we are going. It helps to work within the present as well, among other humans, like atheists, and all kinds.

Finding our purpose in life is a search that has been conducted by the greatest minds throughout history. That is what philosophy and religion are all about.

Well, I don't know how else I would find drive in life....well, maybe my kids. Oh, and maybe helping others. Or achieving all I can in life. Oh, how about learning?
Oh, yeah, God isn't even close to purpose number 1.

It's true. We were put here by God, for God. However, this doesn't mean God is some selfish jerk or anything. Glorifying and worshipping Him is the only thing that can bring us true, pure satisfaction and joy in this world. In that way, He is still loving us by wanting us to live our lives completely for Him.
