famous story of adam and eve, alomost mentioned in all religious books. my questions:

1. why it is commen in all leading religious books?
2. if we believe on it as such then we all are descended from same mom and father.what you think about it?
3.is there chances that we misinterpret words of divine books regarding this story.
4.humans are surely evolved from water, then would we believe on science or on divine books?

Assuming that this category includes all religions/spiritual beliefs, my question is for those who study either buddhism or zen.....I'd like to know what your experience was/what it was like if you have ever attended a spiritual retreat in either of the two.
Thank you.

I've never had a psychic reading & everyone keeps telling me that I should never pay for one....so is there anyone out there that can give me a free reading? I have a specific question:

Will my husband & I be able to conceive this year or ever? We have been trying for over a year with no luck.

Any other info that anyone would like to give is ok as well...
PLEASE, only serious answers. Please keep from posting religious type answers that will belittle my question.

Thanks!

Book recommendations? Perhaps a novel that literary snobs publicly decry but secretly love?

I need desperate spiritual guidance. I have been seperated from religion, and even more importantly, God.

How do I get Back to Him?

If God can do anything He wants, then God can lie! And if God can lie, He may have been lying to you when He promised you eternal life! You can't say it would be wrong for Him to lie to you, without admiting that something can be wrong for God to do!!!

If so why doesn't he ever write me?

Does he know how to use the phone or cell?
If so why doesn't he ever call me?

Does he not know my email or number, or what is it?

Does it say anywhere in the bible that it is WRONG to do animal sacrifices now? And read the damn question again before answering, I'm not asking if it is OK not to, I don't care about all that Jesus... lamb.. blah-blah... perfect sacrifice ... [insert some other made up nonsense here]... blah-blah.

Example for stupid: My wife said that I don't have to buy her flowers anymore. Because we are married and stuff now. But she didn't say that it is WRONG to do so. So I keep buying her flowers because I know that she likes it.

So, why don't Christians do animal sacrifices? Lets say it is OK not to, but we know from OT that God likes it (yes it says there that he likes the aroma of flash burning on the altar, it is not just about sin and stuff), so why not do it once in a while???

Being open-minded to the possibilty of supernatural intervention (I neither defend nor deny), I was wondering if anyone has tried casting spells, and if so, how did you feel about the outcome? Was it what you expected?

For the sake of this question I’m going to assume that god exists which in of itself is a faulty assumption.

You seriously can’t say that the Jesus thing is working any better than the Mosaic Laws and your god clearly changed his mind when he discarded the Old Covenant and brought about the New Covenant.

So how do you know he (god) is not going to toss out the New Covenant and introduce The New Covenant 2.0?

you around somewhere? Why doesn't the Church show it's face more often, on tv and in the press? It seems so many Christians now feel they have to apologise for having faith, or worse, they won't openly admit it - it's not the done thing etc. What do you think?

I never really knew much about President Ford before. Now I know what a strong man of good character he lived his life. And I know he is a Christian in heaven with the Lord.
