Good people are not suffereing. Suffering is based on the karma they do and sometimes god also test us. Or somtimes god is giving the best what we want. So may be before that people suffer.Does your mother wants you to suffer? No, it is just god is mother to us who never wish us to suffer. May be god teaches us lesson from it . It is how you take things in your mind and get on to the life.

People of various religions have gone to their religious leaders and teachers to ask why there is so much suffering. Often, the response is that suffering is God’s will and that he long ago determined everything that would ever happen, including tragic events. Many are told that God’s ways are mysterious or that he brings death upon people—even children—so that he can have them in heaven with him. As you have learned, though, Jehovah God never causes what is bad. The Bible says: “Far be it from the true God to act wickedly, and the Almighty to act unjustly!”—Job 34:10.
Do you know why people make the mistake of blaming God for all the suffering in the world? In many cases, they blame Almighty God because they think that he is the real ruler of this world. They do not know a simple but important truth that the Bible teaches. The real ruler of this world is Satan the Devil.
The Bible clearly states: “The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” (1Â John 5:19) When you think about it, does that not make sense? This world reflects the personality of the invisible spirit creature who is “misleading the entire inhabited earth.” (Revelation 12:9) Satan is hateful, deceptive, and cruel. So the world, under his influence, is full of hatred, deceit, and cruelty. That is one reason why there is so much suffering.
A second reason why there is so much suffering is that, mankind has been imperfect and sinful ever since the rebellion in the garden of Eden. Sinful humans tend to struggle for dominance, and this results in wars, oppression, and suffering. (Ecclesiastes 4:1; 8:9)
A third reason for suffering is “time and unforeseen occurrence.” (Ecclesiastes 9:11) In a world without Jehovah as a protective Ruler, people may suffer because they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Because as Corrie Ten Boom's sister said, "there is no pit so deep that God is not deeper still".
If you just keep praying and believing in God, He will get you through whatever life throws at you. It's like the song "Through The Fire" says;
"He never promised the cross would not get heavy and the hill would not be hard to climb
He never offered victory without fighting but He said help would always come in time
Just remember when you’re standing in the valley of decision and the adversary says give in
Just hold on, our Lord will show up and He will take you through the fire again"

God is here, people may think they are "good" but the suffering is not God's doing, people still have free will and make their own decisions, which are not always the best ones, therefore bad things happen.

Jesus said that those who follow him must be willing to die for him. It is more important to save your soul then your flesh. That is why rather you are Christian or not, bad things of this world happen. People are so quick to blame God but not the Devil for bad things. Remember, God kicked Satan out of heaven and sent him to Earth.God will let people go through trials on Earth and do what he has to do to get them wanting him (such as a family member in a accident the first thing everyone does is pray, etc.) God loves all of us and things happen to shape us for God. He is the potter and we are the clay. Now, we can CHOOSE what road we pick. The path to hell is wide and straight, the path to Heaven is narrow and bumpy. Heaven is more glorious than the mind can imagine. God is a loving and forgiving God. Pick up the scripture and read it and try a bible-based church. Good luck!

This question is as old as mankind and has many answers. The one given by God himself in the bible is that even the evil people in the world do some good, at some time. As a result, God rewards them in this world so that they will not have any merits remaining once they get to the punishment of the next world. Conversely, good people sin from time to time. Therefore, God punishes them in this world so that when they get to the next, they will be unencumbered by those sins.

God is everywhere, even with the ones who suffer. Jesus, his son, suffered Crucifixion, and God was there. And Jesus told him "Father, why do you put thru this? Sometimes suffering cleans your soul. and other people's soul.
Even the good ones die young. why? Why, Why? to many questions, still don't have an answer to satisfy everybody. its a matter of faith and sacrifice.

To all those people above me, why doesn't God just step in to help stop the worst evils? Like the holocaust. That wouldn't take away much freewill.
