Well until He does change His mind, we have what we have.
But you misunderstand the Old Testament, and I would not have you remain ignorant about the subject. ( ;
What the Old Testament did was point to Christ. The layers of coverings were symbols, the sacrifices at the temple were symbols, the Ark of Noah was even a type of Christ. Salvation, Jesus the Christ, the work of Christ, and the Laws of Moses all pointed to the one who would come to provide the New Covenant. And then the irony is obviated in Habbukuk; the just shall live by faith. Faith is trust. God honors those who trust Him and condemns those who do not trust Him. Jesus did the same thing in the New Testament. So God hasn't changed, He just revealed what He was doing all along. God has been called the God of 'Set Times.' And there is a certain amount of time determined by Him that will pass before He does the next thing. And He does reveal what it is that He will do in the Bible.
So it's not over yet! There will be a time when He returns to the Earth; the so called Second Coming. After that occurs, all the people of the Earth will have to observe the Feast of the Tabernacles. But look, there is no temple. So we are not there yet. If you read Ezekiel 38 & 39, and Zechariah 14, you will see that there are things coming up that are not practiced now. Even the gentiles will observe the Feast, with the threat of no rain and plagues if they don't.
So keep watching. When peace comes to the Middle East, the one bringing it about will be a friend to Jews and Muslims alike. All the world will love this person. That person is the Antichrist. And he will bring peace, but it will not last.
We will see changes if we are alive to see them.

Many people are still confused when they talk about Old and New Covenant. The old Covenant is not synonymous with the Ten Commandments. Covenant means Agreement or Promise.
There was an agreement between God and the Israelites back there on Mt. Sinai. God said: I will be your God and you will be my people if you faithfully keep my Commandments. The people agreed to that. That covenant has a provision using animals blood for forgiveness of their sins or transgressions.
But they have been transgressing those Commandments and even rejected and killed the Giver of that Commandments and Covenant. So God changed the Covenant, owing to their failure, and making it possible for us to do it now, by His power and grace. The Ten Commandments is a moral Law, Perfect and ?Everlasting. It is the foundation of God's kingdom. Therefore it is called The Royal Law in the book of James. Until heaven an earth pass away, not one dot or iota, will pass away or changed from that Law of Ten Commandments.
It was the Covenant that is changed because of human failure, not of His failure. The New Covenant goes: "I will put my law in their hearts" and give them power to keep it . And for the provision in this Covenant, the shedding of animals blood is not required any longer, but just accepting the sacrifice of His own blood, which is more precious than all the animal blood combined together through the ages.
Does God change His mind, not at all. He still keep His promise to be His people's God and assurance of salvation, the only thing that change is the period, which is now called the period of Grace because the shadows symbolized in the sacrifices have been fulfilled in His death, the real Lamb of God.
There is not going to be New Covenant No. 2, or Amendment to the New Covenant. But of course nobody will understand this unless he is guided by the Holy Spirit. That is the meaning of saying of Jesus: "I will send the Holy Spirit and will teach you all things." Without the Holy Spirit nobody will have a clue.

Actually, God did not toss out the old covenant. He didnt change his mind. Anyone can still use the old covenant & be saved. The problem was that this old covenant was very difficult for man 2 follow so guess what our caring father did. He gave us another chance at an easier covenant. Instead of sacrifices & special days & eating certain foods & going 2 priests 2 repent, God sent his Son 2 be sacrificed & said , 'Look, just believe in & love my Son who I sent 2 die for u, worship me doesnt matter how u do it, can be in private or in a church. In fact u dont have 2 do anything much at all. Just believe & worship me & u will be saved'.
Sadly, even this is too hard for man 2 do.
Maybe u are right. Maybe he will make a new covenant. Now what can be easier than the last covenant. Mmmmm...maybe he will beg us 2 let HIM worship us instead of us worship him.Maybe he will pray 2 us believe in him...yeah he'll do just anything 2 get us saved whether we want to be or not. Get on his knees (if he have any) & just plead with us to love him...probably sacrifice another son...

The old covenant was simply a foreshadow of what was to come in Christ. The old covenant showed man what he must do in order to be justified before God on his own, that is, keep the whole of the law perfectly. The sacrificial system was in place to show the seriousness of sin and that a death must take place in order to pay for that sin. The sacrifices did not forgive sin, merely covered them. Jesus fulfilled the law and took the wrath of God for the sins of His people upon Himself, He was the perfect sacrifice, and satisfied the payment for sin for His people. The Old Testament is all about the fall of man, what God demands as a payment for sin and the coming messiah who would pay the price for the sins of His people. There are only two ways for a man to go, either he acknowledges the existence of God, acknowledge his sin problem and the inability to do anything about it and his need for a savior, Christ, or he can try to approach God on his own terms with his works or simply fool himself into thinking God does not exist. One way leads to eternal life, the other, eternal death. That is all there is, nothing more will be done. The work is finished.

I am assuming He will change the rules again fairly soon. My communication with Him indicates exactly your point..
However do not think that He has walked out on any covenants. He has and is keeping all His promises. Temporarily the Jews became disenfranchised but that will end someday probably not in my lifetime. Jesus will always be the way but I could see there being a different method employed for a time but have not got a clue what it will be or if I will ever see it. If I were to be arround for it I would recognize it because the signs are given.

there is a wider trench between you and my self a Roman Catholic and apostolic Christian. If I were to doubt that your assumptions are correct, I wouldn't be able to live with my self. HIM(God), the Father all powerful and Almighty. destroy the Old covenant, because the Jew's were unwilling to follow HIM,(God), although he was in direct contact with their Leaders. The new covenant that I assumed you know it has the bases for the new Testament, it was also broken and also because the Jew's were unwilling to see Jesus as the Son of God, been send to them to lead then into a better world, and a better Life. To my knowledge Jesus wasn't only the Son of HIM(God), but he was also the best politician ever But because he didn't gave any wealth, material possessions, or money to the Jew's, they decide not to vote for him. <> Faith, knowledge and belief will bring you to HIM(God), though Jesus Christ his only Son.Amen

God has said in His word that He cannot lie. He has also said that the canon of Scripture is closed, in the closing verses of the last chapter of the last book of the Bible. He also repeats Himself for confirmation ("at the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every matter be established") in earlier books, indicating that adding to what God has said, and saying, in effect, "thus saith the Lord," when God hadn't said it, was a thing that only a reprobate would be inclined to do. This Jesus thing is working out pretty good; He came to confirm the law and uphold it, and He always does everything perfectly. This is how I know that a "2.0" version of the new covenant isn't coming. The destruction of the earth as we know it, and the sentencing of all the enemies of God to their doom, is also coming in just a few short years.

You obviously haven't read the Bible. When Jesus brought the New Covenant, He washed away our sins (actually this is when He died on the Cross, but in the New Covenant), but in the Old Covenant, you would have to sacrifice an animal. So what do you mean by again? BTW, the Old Covenant (eg. the Ten Commandments) are still followed, eg You shall not murder.

Because God never did change his mind! He merely provided us a way out. He saved us from His wrath. He saved us from our own disobedience. God revealed his plan of the new covenant throughout the old Testament. He will provide a lamb that will take your sins away. That is the symbolism of the lamb provided to Abraham so he did not have to actually sacrifice his son Isaac. Jesus is what the Bible is all about my friend. There was not changing of the mind of God. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Being a Christian and True faithful believer in God and His Holy Word I will just Quote one passage to you, ( since you obviously do not BELIEVE Hebrews 11:1 Hebrews 11:6)
2 Peter 3:9,10---The Lord is not slack concerning His Promise, as some men count slackness, but is long suffering to usward, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE DISSOLVED, what manner of PERSONS ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
